Meet Haley! 🐾 Haley is a sweet, adorable 11-month-old poodle mix who is ready to discover the world with her forever family! At about 40lbs, she still has some growing and filling out to do, but we expect she’ll likely be around 50 lbs when fully grown. Haley is a little shy and seems like she hasn’t had much exposure to the world yet. New people and new things can make her nervous, but she is still so young, and we truly believe she can blossom with patience, encouragement and the right person by her side. She absolutely LOVES other dogs and is happiest in a good playgroup. She enjoys dogs of all sizes and would do wonderfully with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. At home, she is playful, affectionate and really wants to be loved. She's very submissive, but is a high energy player. Haley is excellent in her crate, even sleeping quietly in it. She will need continued work with leash walking, car rides and meeting new people, but we think she has so much potential. A home with a secure fenced yard and another confident dog around her size are required for her. She also needs an adult only home and preferably one with just females. She's pretty scared of men, sadly :( Haley is located in Tampa. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and her adoption fee is $300. She has made incredible progress and is now a happy, affectionate, and playful dog in her foster home. At home, Quinn is easy, loving, and well-behaved. She loves other dogs, plays in the yard, and is happiest cuddled up next to her canine friends or following her person from room to room. Once she bonds, she bonds deeply. However, Quinn is still very shy and easily overwhelmed in new environments. She is fearful in public and can be a flight risk if not properly secured. She will need a confident, experienced adopter who understands how to keep nervous dogs safe and is physically able to handle/lift her if needed. Quinn will also need time to build trust—multiple meet-and-greets will be required prior to adoption. She is not a dog who can go home on the first visit. She has a manageable medical routine (special diet, Pepcid, and probiotics) for mild reflux, which is well controlled. Nico, embark says 50% lab 50% poodle, rescue from a hoarding case, a girl I know started training him for SAR, he’s familiar with live find area search and cadaver, beginning stages only, works for a stuffy toy. However, did not pass environmentals, doesn’t like cars or bikes or things moving fast around him. I would recommend no kids and breed experience with his quirks.
