Story
🌸 Meet Petunia 🌸 Petunia is a beautiful 1.5-year-old sweetheart weighing 49 lbs, and her journey has already been one of incredible growth. She came to us as part of a group of six dogs rescued from a hoarder/breeder situation. At first, the world felt big and a little scary — but Petunia wasted no time showing us just how resilient and loving she truly is. We believe Petunia is a mix between a Brittany and a Standard Poodle (our best guess!). She has a soft, beautiful coat and does lightly shed. As a reminder, most poodle mixes (“doodles”) are not truly hypoallergenic — so families with allergies should keep that in mind. In her foster home, she has absolutely blossomed. Just one month ago, Petunia had never walked on a leash — and now she struts beautifully on daily walks like she’s been doing it her whole life! She has also learned to be crate trained and housetrained. While housetraining is still a tiny bit of a work in progress, she’s nearly perfect and continues to improve every day. Petunia loves other dogs and truly thrives with canine companionship. She will need a dog friend in her forever home to help her continue building confidence and to share in playtime and snuggles. While we initially required a fenced yard for her, Petunia has proven just how adaptable she is — she’s currently fostered in an apartment with two other doodles and is doing fantastic with regular leash walks. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus, but it’s not a must for this adaptable girl. Petunia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative — ready to start her next chapter with a family who will continue to guide her with love and patience. Her adoption fee is $350. She is in Clearwater. Apply to adopt at: www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
Sweet Molly 🌸 We just love her. After waiting far too long, Molly finally landed an amazing foster home, but they leave town on 03/21 - so we want to find her forever family before they leave! Molly is just 1.5 years old and wonderful with other dogs. She originally came in with a group of six dogs and has also spent time at doggy daycare playing with lots of new friends. She’s social, gentle, and just a sweetheart. Why we love Molly: 🩷 She’s incredibly affectionate and eager to please 🐕 Gentle and submissive with other dogs 🛌 Watching her figure out how cuddling works is honestly adorable 🐾 Loves pets, then sleeps nearby just to be close 👞 Not a chewer so far (your shoes are safe!) 🐶 A little shy during play but learning confidence every day 🍪 Treat motivated and smart — already learning commands 📣 Knows her name and comes when called 🦮 Strong on leash but improving with practice 🤍 Gentle mouthing when she’s feeling affectionate 💤 Makes the cutest snoring noise when you rub her chest as she falls asleep She does best with another dog for companionship and would ideally love a fenced yard, though she’s currently doing well without a fenced yard. Molly may be a Labradoodle mix and does lightly shed. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is in Sarasota and her adoption fee is $300. We absolutely adore this girl — and now we’re hoping the right family sees her and knows she’s theirs 🩷 www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
MY ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN FULLY SPONSORED - thanks to a generous donor!Hi I am Dolly! I'm a medium-sized girl estimated at 4 years old and weighing in at 50lbs. My rescue believed I'm a schnauzer/poodle mix, but that is a best guess - whatever my mix, I'm adorable! I'm a friendly gal that found myself in a high-kill county shelter hoping to be saved. Thankfully I landed at Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue, where I received the general and medical care I needed to be ready for a forever home. I love to go for walks, and I am good on a leash. I'm not sure about cats and am selective with other dogs, so I would need a proper introduction. II like to go on car rides, and am good with my house training/crate training. My $250 adoption fee is now fully sponsored and includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, heartworm test (negative), spay, deworming and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

NAME:  Kip BREED:  Poodle/terrier mix SEX:  male COLOR:  cream/white AGE:  2 yrs as of Sept 2025 WEIGHT:  10 lbs FOSTERED BY: LOCATED IN: NOTES FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Meet Kip! Kip is a sweet, energetic, cozy-loving pup who’s all about the simple joys in life. He absolutely loves blankets and is happiest curled up on a blanket on the couch, taking a nap right next to his people. When it’s time for bath day, Kip is easygoing and doesn’t mind getting warm baths at all—he’s a very polite boy! When he’s not relaxing, Kip’s energetic side shines. He enjoys zoomies in the yard, a good game of fetch, chewing on bones, and playing with his toys—though fair warning: his toys need to be stuffing-less, because if there’s stuffing inside, Kip will happily pull it out. He also loves playing with other little dogs and is comfortable around big dogs. He does great sharing space with no food aggression or resource guarding, and Kip is great with kids, making him a wonderful family companion. Kip has been through a lot in his past, including being hit by a car, but you’d never know it—his injuries don’t slow him down or dampen his happy spirit at all. To help him feel his best during playtime, he may benefit from having carpet or rugs throughout the house so he has good traction while running and playing. After dinner, Kip’s favorite routine is winding down with a good brushing (especially when he’s tired), and he never misses a chance to bark at cows if any are nearby—it’s one of his favorite “jobs.” Kip would do wonderfully in a home that enjoys both playtime and cuddle time. If you’re looking for an energetic yet snuggly companion who’s equally happy fetching a ball or snoozing on a blanket, Kip might be your perfect match.  If you are interested in adopting please complete our Adoption Application by copying and pasting the following link into your web browser: http://www.caninecastaways.org/adoption-application For a full list of dogs we currently have for adoption use this link:  https://www.caninecastaways.org/adoptable-dogs MEDICAL INFO: The following has been or will be done for this dog... - Basic Exam by Veterinarian - Spayed or Neutered - Heartworm Tested - Placed on heartworm preventive - Basic Bloodwork - Urinalysis - Microchipped - Intestinal Parasite Exam and medication - Vaccinations - Placed on Flea preventive ADOPTION DONATION: $300 This adoption donation helps to cover the vet expenses for this dog including heartworm preventive which is dispensed at the initial vet visit and then goes with the dog at adoption. NAME:  Dominic BREED:  Poodle/Rat Terrier mix SEX:  male COLOR:  black/white AGE:  1 yr as of May 2025 WEIGHT:  11.5 lbs   FOSTERED BY: LOCATED IN: NOTES FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Hi! My name is Dominic, but my foster mom calls me Fluffy because I’m so soft. I love to play with my foster siblings and I’m a good follower, so I would like a friend who will rough house with me and that I can follow to gain my confidence. I overheard my mom say I’m “special” because I have four legs, but only three feet. I’m not sure what special means, but I don’t let it bother me one bit! I keep up with the pack and can jump, run, and play. I love belly rubs and will show anyone my belly to get them. I also like to give kisses. I’m potty trained and I’m kennel trained. I would like a home where I can have lots of affection, a companion, and a fence. I don’t understand leash walking, I like to be independent when I potty. I’m a little guy with a big heart, three paws and lots of love to give. Will you give me a furever home?  Dominic came from a confiscation case (along with his siblings and mom) but unfortunately poor Dominic had gotten his foot caught in the rabbit cage that he was stuck in and sadly chewed off his foot to get loose.  He is doing amazing and hasn't let that stop him from being a happy little guy!   If you are interested in adopting please complete our Adoption Application by copying and pasting the following link into your web browser: http://www.caninecastaways.org/adoption-application For a full list of dogs we currently have for adoption use this link:  https://www.caninecastaways.org/adoptable-dogs MEDICAL INFO: The following has been or will be done for this puppy at the appropriate age... - Basic Exam by Veterinarian - Spayed or Neutered - Placed on heartworm preventive - Basic Bloodwork - Microchipped - Intestinal Parasite Exam and medication - Vaccinations - Placed on flea preventive ADOPTION DONATION: $300 This adoption donation helps to cover the vet expenses for this puppy including heartworm preventive which is dispensed at the initial vet visit and then goes with the dog at adoption.
