Wilfred/Wilfy

Bath, ME
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Wilfred is adorable, smart and motivated to learn. He knows basic commands including sit, down, stay and leave it. He walks well on a leash. Wilfy adores people; he will wiggle his whole body in excitement when you come home, will happily cuddle up with you in bed, and is quick to ask for a belly rub. Wilfred was advertised by the rescue we adopted him from as being great with cats. He is in fact highly motivated to chase cats, and should not live with them. Wilfy would do well paired with a dog who matched his energy and play drive, but would probably best shine as an only dog. He would love to have fenced land to run on. Wilfy would make the right human(s) a truly special, once-in-a-lifetime dog. Wilfy does need additional training, and we want to find him an experienced adopter who is down to continue the rewards-based training from which he has benefited. Wilfy is 45 lbs. He is neutered, heartworm neg, and has all shots. We are happy to transport him.

Story
The best part of Polo’s day is any time he’s getting a hug or snuggle.  Polo is a gentle and happy 3-year-old Doodle who favors a Poodle more than anything else.  He’s mostly white, with lots of patches of black and nicely sized a little smaller than most of the Doodles out there.  He’s 42 pounds and has a thick, curly coat, and a tail that never stops wagging.    His demeanor is very gentle. He gets along great with the dogs in his current foster pack, and with the people. He loves playing outside, but is just as happy to be inside with the people and getting cuddles. He will also usually be found lying on the floor, close to wherever the people are. He’s curious about things, and will watch other dogs, birds, etc, but doesn’t make a fuss about it. He’s not a big barker, but will alert if someone/ something is near the door. He’s (mostly?) house-trained….although since he’s not yet neutered, he has done some initial marking inside where he likely picked up on another dog’s smell. But no full-on accidents. At night, he likes to sleep in a fluffy dog bed in the peoples’ room. He usually has free run of his foster house, but is crated when there are no people at home, as we’re still just getting to know him. He doesn’t tend to favor any specific toys so far. He’s great in the car. He sat straight upright in the back seat, like a person, on a recent car trip.    He is up to date on his rabies and is scheduled to be neutered.    Polo is a sweet boy with soulful eyes, and just loves being petted and talked to. He’s been a real joy to have around the house, with his positive attitude and wagging tail.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmal.com if you are interested.  He is in Nashville, Tn and can transport on April 10th to the northeastern region on a certified animal transport van.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 26, 2026, 8:02 pm

Story
Hello World! My name is Loveable Louis, and I am a big, fluffy Double Doodle with a giant heart and an even bigger personality. I’m 5 years old and weigh about 85–90 pounds, which basically makes me a professional-sized cuddle buddy. If you like big dogs who think they’re lap dogs… we’re probably going to get along just fine. My hobbies include playing fetch like a champion, following my people around the house, making friends everywhere I go, and of course—snuggling. I’m fantastic with little kids, I’m completely house-trained, and I get along great with other dogs too. My family says you can pretty much take me anywhere because I’m such a well-mannered gentleman.   Now here’s the part of my story that’s a little bittersweet. My family loves me very much, but they are expecting their second baby soon. With two little ones keeping them busy, they worry they won’t be able to give me the attention and time I’ve always had and deserve. They love me enough to want the very best life for me, so they reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue to help find a home that has been hoping for a truly exceptional Doodle. And guess what? That exceptional Doodle would be ME. I’m ready to be someone’s loyal sidekick—your fetch partner, your adventure buddy, your couch companion, and the dog who greets you like you’re the most important person in the world.   If you’ve been looking for a big-hearted, well-mannered, fun-loving Doodle to share life with, I might just be your guy. Send an email to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask about Loveable Louis! Trust me… life is better with a Louis in it.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 18, 2026, 11:42 am
