Story
Meet Max! A wise and wonderful twelve-year-old Poodle mix currently living in Ayer, MA, whose heart is as soft as his charcoal-dusted black coat. Max is a medium-sized gentleman, weighing in at 40 pounds, and he’s got one soulful eye that sees straight into your heart—and probably your snack bag, too! Max is the definition of a devoted companion. His world revolves around his people, and he’s happiest when he’s close—whether it's trotting by your side on a peaceful walk, snoozing nearby while you work, or simply following you from room to room. Max isn’t just a velcro dog—he’s a full-on shadow with a heartbeat. Because Max forms deep bonds, he struggles when left alone. His separation anxiety is very real and not just a bit of whining. When his people leave, Max becomes stressed and unsettled. At first, he’ll pace and vocalize his concern with soft whining and barking. If left for longer stretches, this turns into digging or chewing at doors and crates in a determined effort to find his way back to his loved ones. He doesn’t mean harm—his heart just hurts when he’s not near his favorite human. This anxiety can also make Max reactive in certain situations. When feeling stressed or unsure, he may bark, growl, or charge at other dogs or unfamiliar people, especially if they approach him or his person too quickly. It’s his way of saying, “I’m scared and overwhelmed,” not “I’m aggressive.” Max is working on this through consistency, calm guidance, and plenty of reassurance. A quiet home with an experienced caregiver who understands reactivity and is comfortable using positive reinforcement will be key in helping him feel safe and confident. Max knows a long list of commands and thrives with structure, routine, and predictability. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He requires a low-fat diet to manage chronic pancreatitis and receives care for hypothyroidism. Max is seeking a home where he can be the one-and-only pet, without young children or a revolving door of visitors. If you’re someone who’s home often or can include Max in your daily routine, he’ll repay you with unwavering loyalty and affection! Could Max be the one to fill your life with quiet companionship and devoted love? Reach out to meet him at adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
If you would like to apply to take LUCY home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Lucy is a 4-year-old Poodle mix/Doodle with a sweet soul and an affectionate nature. She originally came from a rescue, where she was found wandering and severely matted. Since then, Lucy has received the care she needed and is now groomed, spayed, and up to date on all veterinary care. She is a well-mannered girl who is both house-trained and crate-trained. She takes food gently, sits politely, rides comfortably in cars, and is non-reactive on walks. She enjoys other dogs in neutral settings and could live with a compatible canine companion of a similar size and temperament. However, she will benefit greatly from additional training and support by an experienced owner. She’s happiest when she can spend time outdoors walking, hiking, or exploring, but she’s also content relaxing on the couch with her person. Lucy truly wants to be part of the family and will thrive where she can be an integral part of daily life. Lucy would do best in a home without children. She tends to be more comfortable with women and may need some extra time to warm up to men, but with gentle handling and positive reinforcement, she forms strong bonds and becomes a very loving and loyal companion.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Dawn – The Sweet Sidekick Who’ll Follow You Into Every New Day Dawn is a 3-year-old, 30-pound poodle mix with a heart as soft as her curls and a loyal streak that could put a superhero’s sidekick to shame. Once she decides you’re “her person,” congratulations—you now have your own fluffy shadow. Bathroom breaks, coffee runs, quick trips to the mailbox… Dawn is committed to the role. She likes other dogs, enjoys companionship, and is fully vaccinated, spayed, and officially ready to join her forever family. Dawn came from a hoarding situation, but despite her tough beginning, she’s blossoming into a snuggly, affectionate girl who just wants a safe place and someone to adore. Dawn does get a little anxious around smaller children (tiny humans are unpredictable), but she should do great with older kiddos who understand the concept of “personal space” and don’t greet her like a surprise confetti cannon. She would absolutely thrive with someone who works from home, is retired, or just wants a loyal buddy for daily life. Need moral support while answering emails? She’s there. Want a coworker who never steals your snacks? Dawn is your girl. Sweet, devoted, gentle, and a little quirky in the cutest ways—Dawn is the kind of dog who turns ordinary moments into heartwarming ones. If you’re ready for a loving companion who’ll brighten your mornings, follow you through your afternoons, and snuggle beside you every evening… Dawn is waiting to bring the sunshine. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and make Dawn part of your every day. 🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💎 Meet Crystal – A Delicate Gem Ready to Shine 💎 At 3 years old and 26 pounds, Crystal is a soft-hearted sweetheart who’s still learning that the world can be kind. Coming from a hoarding situation, she’s understandably shy with new people and experiences. What she needs most isn’t fancy or flashy—it’s patience, gentleness, and time to let her true sparkle emerge. Like her name, Crystal is something rare and beautiful. With a little warmth and a lot of love, she’ll transform from a fragile gem into a radiant, trusting treasure. She’s already showing her softer side (literally)—she’s discovered a deep appreciation for all things cozy: soft blankets, soft pillows, and soft beds. She’s decided that comfort is, in fact, the cat's meow...err, the dog’s bark! 🐾 Crystal does wonderfully with other dogs and would do best having a confident 4 legged sibling to help her fit in and feel comfortable. But cats? Yeah, that’s gonna be a ‘nope’ from her — she prefers friends who bark back She would also do best in a quieter home with no small kiddos, where her person was retired or works from home. Crystal doesn’t ask for much—just a safe home where she can finally rest, heal, and learn that love doesn’t have to be scary. She gives that adorable head tilt when she's pondering something. Once she trusts you, her affection shines through like sunlight through glass—steady, warm, and endlessly pure. She’ll reward your patience tenfold with quiet love, loyalty, and those gentle tail wags that mean everything. If you’re the kind of person who believes that the best treasures take time to reveal their beauty, Crystal is waiting for you. 💖 ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and help this hidden gem find her forever sparkle. ✨

Story
Meet Theo! Theo is a handsome doodle mix, about 10 months old and already weighing in at 66 lbs. He was surrendered by his owner due to lack of time, and now he’s looking for a committed family who can keep up with his puppy energy. Theo is young, energetic, and a bit rambunctious, so he’s still working on his manners. The good news? He will be heading to the prestigious Arkansas Paws in Prison Program, where he’ll receive training to help him become a more well-mannered and well-rounded pup. Theo is good with other dogs and has a loving, affectionate personality. Due to his high energy level and doodle coat, potential adopters should be prepared for regular exercise, continued training, and routine grooming upkeep. Theo is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. If you’d like to add this adorable, loving boy to your family, please complete our adoption application. 🐾

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Okay, GRACIE does not look too beautiful in these pictures but she is in person and her soul is really beautiful.  GRACIE is a wonderful dog who I rescued from the streets of San Antonio, TX.  She had been hanging out at a bank, just sitting there waiting for someone to rescue her.  She was so happy to be saved.  She is for sure a very loyal and loving dog. I am going to try to groom her this weekend and get better pictures of her but she is an all black dog and those pictures are hard to take and to make them clear.  Her coat is wavy/curly and she does allow you to groom her and she takes a good bath.  GRACIE is a poodle/terrier mix who is 3 years old and 51 pounds. GRACIE's main purpose in life is to play.  She would do best in a home with another dog as a playmate.  For sure she would occupy that dog's time and energy!  GRACIE plays, eats and sleeps to get ready to play again.  She deserves a second chance at having a loving home.  I wish I knew why she was tossed away on the streets because she is such a good girl and I have no problems out of her. She loves to go on walks or do anything that involves receiving love.  She is really a pets pet and will not bother you around the house.  I have on good thoughts and great things to say about her. If you are interested in adopted GRACIE, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE.
