Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This very mellow fellow is the greatest mild mannered companion you would want.  He knows all of his commands and very smart to learn more.  NOODLES is 2 years old and 55 pounds.  He was abandoned in a city park by his owners and they must have loved him at one point and spent a lot of time with him because he is very into his humans, knows commands and well behaved.  Unfortunately he was very matted and needed to be shaved down to make him feel better instead of properly groomed. He walks very well on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  He is not high energy but he really enjoys going on walks and he does not pull the leash.  One of the pictures is what he looked like when found and before he was groomed. NOODLES is a doodle and can be mistaken for a pure breed Standard Poodle.  He is crate trained and house trained. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Okay, GRACIE does not look too beautiful in these pictures but she is in person and her soul is really beautiful.  GRACIE is a wonderful dog who I rescued from the streets of San Antonio, TX.  She had been hanging out at a bank, just sitting there waiting for someone to rescue her.  She was so happy to be saved.  She is for sure a very loyal and loving dog. I am going to try to groom her this weekend and get better pictures of her but she is an all black dog and those pictures are hard to take and to make them clear.  Her coat is wavy/curly and she does allow you to groom her and she takes a good bath.  GRACIE is a poodle/terrier mix who is 3 years old and 51 pounds. GRACIE's main purpose in life is to play.  She would do best in a home with another dog as a playmate.  For sure she would occupy that dog's time and energy!  GRACIE plays, eats and sleeps to get ready to play again.  She deserves a second chance at having a loving home.  I wish I knew why she was tossed away on the streets because she is such a good girl and I have no problems out of her. She loves to go on walks or do anything that involves receiving love.  She is really a pets pet and will not bother you around the house.  I have on good thoughts and great things to say about her. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This is BIRDIE, she was given that name by the family who found her because her barks sounds like bird chirps and she is not a barker so I rarely get to hear her chirp!  If there was a name I could give her for happy and sweet I would name her that because she is just happy all the time and super sweet.  She totally gets along with everyone and tries to play with all of the dogs big and small. BIRDIE will get groomed on Thursday and I will update the 'after' pictures once she is groomed.  She is 2 years old and 40 pounds and a bit underweight.  She could stand to gain at least 5-10 pounds.  I think BIRDIE is a small large- medium size dog, not really the tall standard poodle height or weight.  Her color is cream and she takes a bath really well. She walks very well on a leash, jumps in the car and rides without getting sick.  BIRDIE is happy to meet everyone.  This is a great dog who deserves a 2nd chance at a good forever home.  She was found wandering a neighborhood and posted on social media for a while trying to find her owners but no one ever came forward.  She was not microchipped but she is now. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.AMANDA is a beautiful AKC Registered Parti-Poodle, Standard.  She is 5 years old and 50 pounds.  This is a very well behaved dog who walks great on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick, she just looks out of the window.  My 10 year old granddaughter was able to handle her on a daily basis with ease. AMANDA lost her human mom and was rehomed along with her sister to people who just did not want to care for her so they surrendered her to our organization.   She makes a great companion and gets along with larger dogs but she should not be in a home with smaller breed dogs, other than that she plays very well with medium and large breed dogs.  I do not have any cats in my home so I do not know how she would react to them. These pictures do not show how beautiful and kind hearted she is.  I will try to take more that show how amazing she is. Meet Bob! 🐾 Meet Bob, the adorable 4-month-old Standard Poodle mix! At just 4 months old, he's already 30 pounds and still has plenty of growing to do. This handsome boy is going to be a big dog! Bob is a sensitive soul. He can be timid when meeting new people and takes a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, you'll discover one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs you'll ever meet. He loves nothing more than giving hugs, getting cuddles, and being close to his people. He also enjoys the company of other dogs, although he needs a few days to feel comfortable with new canine friends. Because of his gentle personality, he'd do best with a playful, patient dog that isn't overly dominant. Bob is full of puppy energy! He absolutely loves to run, play, and explore. His ideal home will be an active family that enjoys adventures and has a secure, fenced backyard where he can safely burn off all that energy. Running is one of his favorite things in the world! Like most puppies, Bob is still learning his manners. He gets excited and likes to jump on people, and he's very, very mouthy during playtime. Because he doesn't yet understand his size or strength, we don't feel he would be the best fit for a home with young children (Please homes with kids over the age of 10). This smart boy is already learning quickly! Russell Scruff has the kind of sweet, scruffy face that makes you want to scoop him up and tell him everything is going to be okay. With his tousled fur, gentle eyes, and quiet little personality, he has a way of pulling at your heart without even trying. He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but watching him gather the courage to take tiny baby steps toward you for affection makes earning his trust feel incredibly special. We believe he may be a Terrier mix, but with animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. Whatever his DNA may be, it certainly gave him an irresistible face and the perfect compact size! Russell is dog friendly and is currently being fostered in a home with other dogs, including dogs much bigger than he is. His foster has shared that everyone gets along great together. Having friendly canine companions around may even help Russell feel more comfortable as he settles into a new environment. Personality-wise, Russell is calm, gentle, and incredibly sweet. He is a sensitive little guy who needs a bit of time to warm up, but he wants affection and will slowly work up the courage to ask for it. He’ll take a few careful baby steps toward you, pause to make sure everything is safe, and then inch a little closer until he is finally within ear-scratching distance. It is such a tender, endearing way of asking for love, and once you see it, you’ll want to give him all the scratches he could ever ask for.
