Story
Snoopy is a special needs dogs, as he has some loss of eye sight in his right eye and sees fairly well from his left eye. He has a condition he was born with called Leukoma. He will need drops in his eyes twice a day for the rest of his life. These drops can be purchased from Amazon and are not expensive. Because he loves treats so much, they are easy to give to him. He went to see a vision specialist but he will not need to go back. Snoopy is the sweetest, funniest and loveable boy. He loves other dogs and he must have a fenced yard and another dog to play with. He lives to play and he loves toys. His coat is quite long but he will not need regular grooming if he is brushed regularly and he likes being brushed. He is almost housebroken now an only has an accident occasionally. He has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and has a microchip. https://form.jotform.com/220052826231141

Story
Hi, my name is Cher, I am 50 pounds, about 2 years old, and I`m a sweet, gentle girl looking for a family to call my own. While I may not be the type to constantly ask for attention, I truly enjoy a good petting session and being near the people I trust. I am not a fan of small animals or cats so if you don`t have them I would love your home! One of my favorite things is spending time with other dogs—I get along wonderfully with my canine friends and have a calm, easygoing personality. If you`re looking for a lower-energy companion who enjoys relaxing as much as exploring, I might be the perfect match for you.I also love being outdoors, whether it`s taking a leisurely walk, exploring the yard, or simply soaking up the fresh air. I`ll need occasional grooming to keep me looking and feeling my best.If you`re searching for a gentle, loyal companion with a kind heart and a peaceful spirit, I`d love the chance to meet you. I can`t wait to find my forever home!If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $200

Story
Nicky was my wife's dog. Now that my wife is in memory care Nicky is not getting the previous TLC attention she needs for a happy life. She is boisterously healthy and needs room to run. Perfect for really active children's playmate. She was purchased from a well known breeder of herding dogs. Maybe she could find a farm job? A spectacular athlete. She is reactive to other dogs while on a leash. Needs retraining. I just don't have the required time to invest in her as I close down this farm. She is very sweet and would certainly respond to concentrated training.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
With our health failing we need to place this boy . He really is such a good boy . Had found a home for him But, the female at the home refused to accept him 😔 He would do so well with a family or just 1 person. His paperwork was forgotten at the last home . 😢
