We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Story
Snoopy is a special needs dogs, as he has some loss of eye sight in his right eye and sees fairly well from his left eye. He has a condition he was born with called Leukoma. He will need drops in his eyes twice a day for the rest of his life. These drops can be purchased from Amazon and are not expensive. Because he loves treats so much, they are easy to give to him. He went to see a vision specialist but he will not need to go back. Snoopy is the sweetest, funniest and loveable boy. He loves other dogs and he must have a fenced yard and another dog to play with. He lives to play and he loves toys. His coat is quite long but he will not need regular grooming if he is brushed regularly and he likes being brushed. He is almost housebroken now an only has an accident occasionally. He has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and has a microchip. https://form.jotform.com/220052826231141

Story
Say hello to Ping, the adorable and intelligent poodle mix with a heart full of love to give! This sweet boy is still learning to trust humans, but don't let his initial shyness fool you—once he bonds with you, he'll be your loyal companion for life. Ping is a happy, higher-energy pup who absolutely thrives in the company of other dogs. He currently lives with his canine best friend and two cats, and he flourishes with their companionship. He's playful, smart, and loves his toys—especially ones he can chew on! You'll often catch him doing the most adorable poodle move: standing on his hind legs and waving his paws in the air. Ping needs a home with at least one other confident, friendly dog who can be his buddy and help him build confidence around people. He'd do well with cats too, especially playful ones! While he's still working on basics like potty training and leash walking, his intelligence and treat motivation make him an excellent candidate for positive reinforcement training. Ping is timid around new people and prefers to take things slow. He'll need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him blossom at his own pace. He can be a bit protective of his food bowl, so a home experienced with managing meal times would be best. Pings ideal home will be: -Homes with another dog (required!) -Patient, understanding owners -Active families who can provide mental and physical enrichment -Someone who appreciates a smart pup with tons of potential Ping is waiting for that special someone who will see past his shyness and recognize the wonderful, loving companion he's destined to become. Ping is: 12lbs 3 years old Neutered, utd on vaccines, microchipped, fecal tested. Dog, cat and expected to be kid friendly. Apply here: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Costello & Abbott!!! These two boys ended up in the scary city shelter in Detroit. We swooped these two cuties up to safety, and those days are now behind them. Costello & Abbott are bonded and require and adoptive home that can adopt them both. Unfortunately, we do not know anything about their past, but we do know they are very bonded and belong together. We estimate these boys to be around 7-8 years old and they each weigh about 22 lbs. a piece. Costello & Abbott are both neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. They will both go outside to potty but they are also trained to use pee pads inside. At night they either sleep with their foster mom or sleep in their crate together. They are currently live with other dogs of all sizes and cats, they do great with them all. At first they can be shy to meet other animals but eventually open up. Costello and Abbott both LOVE to cuddle and enjoy receiving all the pets and love. They walk decent on their leashes and do not pull very much either. They are just the cutest boys and deserve a home to call their own. So if you are looking to add the cutest boys to your family, APPLY TODAY!!! *Estimated to be 7-8 years old *Each weigh approx. 20 lbs. a piece *Both are neutered, up to date on vaccines and are microchipped *Dog & Cat Friendly *Expected to be kid friendly around respectful *Love to cuddle *MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER Application: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Bear is a 6-year-old toy poodle with a big heart in a small, 10-lb body. He is a gentle, affectionate little guy who loves nothing more than cuddling up with his person and soaking in attention. If youre looking for a loyal companion who enjoys being close, Bear will happily be by your side. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and likes to play and explore, making him a nice balance of playful and relaxed. Bear is not fully house trained, but with patience, consistency, and the right training, he has great potential to improve. Bear would do best in a loving home that can give him the time, structure, and affection he deserves. He has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion for someone ready to welcome him into their heart and home.
