Story
Ferb is a 10-week-old large breed puppy with big paws, a bigger heart, and a whole lot of potential. This sweet boy is just starting life and is looking for a wonderful home where he can grow up loved, guided, and spoiled in all the right ways. Ferb is playful, curious, and already showing his gentle, affectionate side. As a young puppy, he’ll need time, patience, and positive training to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. With his large-breed size, Ferb will do best with a family ready to invest in training, socialization, and plenty of love. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to grow alongside your family, Ferb is ready to start his happily-ever-after with you!We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. January 9, 2026, 11:36 am

Story
Hudsyn is a 40 lb, 2-year-old dog located in Grand Rapids who adapts quickly to new environments and is eager to learn. She is currently working on potty training, basic commands such as sit, and learning not to jump. She has begun crate training and will need an adopter who is committed to continuing her training and providing consistency and structure.Hudsyn would do well in a home with children, but adopters should be aware that she does jump and can be mouthy, using playful nips when she’s excited. Ongoing training and supervision will help her continue to improve her manners. She would love a home with another dog, as she enjoys playing and having a canine companion. Hydsyn does shed and will require regular grooming and brushing to prevent matting.A meet and greet in Grand Rapids and a site visit are required before the adoption is finalized.Hudsyn is a sweet, playful dog with lots of potential and would thrive in a home ready to guide her with patience, positive reinforcement, and love.I’m fully-vetted, spayed & microchipped and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. Questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to make me a part of your family?  To fill out an application , visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org. I can’t wait to meet you!December 29, 2025, 7:38 pm

Story
Hi my name is Xena! I’m an affectionate 3 year old female Labrador Schnauzer mix that weights 56 lbs. After being at the Ingham County Shelter I went through my training at the correctional facility and really learned my manners and how to act in a home. I love people and show my affection for them with snuggling, impressive tail wags, and lots of kisses! After my training I went to a home that I did really well at; I acclimated to the cat that lived there and we ended up getting along great. I went in my crate at bedtime, and during the day, if I needed to be left alone, I could be trusted in the house. But I didn’t like it when the young kids would crowd my personal space and if they left the door open for me I would run into the road and want to adventure, so it was decided it would be safest for me to be in a home with kids ages 10 and up. I am playful but I know when it’s time to play and when to stop. I love my toys and I’ll probably greet you at the door and then go get one of them to play with you. I have a skin issue that medicated shampoo and a supplement helps but is still being resolved. I do chase squirrels, deer and moles, so having a FENCED IN YARD IS A REQUIREMENT! When it comes to other dogs I need slow introductions and exposure over time and then I can ease into being them. I walk really well with my gentle leader halter; it helps me not pull and reminds me to stay right next to my person. I benefit from consistent routine and having boundaries set for me, including clear communication about hierarchy in the home. My trainers at the facility said that I need exercise, obedience, and affection in that order! I am food motivated and willing to work during training sessions; I truly want to make my human happy and I try hard to please! I have learned a lot over the past 6 months going from shelter to training facility to a home and now another home; I’m trying my hardest and would love to keep learning while also building a lasting relationship with you! Submit your app today! I’m spayed and I’m UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own.  RPSM recommends children 10 years and older.  I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $300.

Story
***RPSM DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG, PLEASE CONTACT BARB AT (269-425-9310)*** Hi! My name is Scotty and I am a very sweet and handsome boy looking for my forever home. I am a Poodle mix and currently weigh about 50 lbs. The vet says I am between 2-3 years old. I have had a rough time lately; I was found wandering alone and was quite thin and very matted. A Good Samaritan took me in, gave me a safe place to stay, got me to a groomer to have me trimmed up and got me to a vet for some needed veterinary care. I have completely healed from Lymes Disease that I had earlier. I am currently on Apoquel as I appear to have skin allergies, but my skin looks great now; I responded very well to the meds. I was neutered and had my tail docked on Dec 5th and I’m all healed. I had my Rabies shot (3 year) and my other shots up to date. I will receive the Trio Simparica Chew (heartworm prevention) on Jan 1st. I am not at all food aggressive; if my foster mom takes my bowl away while I am eating, I just step back. I will overeat so my food needs to be measured out. I take food and treats very gently from my foster mom’s hand. I am crate trained and I know a few commands, and I appear to be a smart boy who can learn much more. I will need a fenced in yard as I do like to explore. I just want a family of my own to love. If you think I could be your new best friend, please call my foster mom, Barb (269-425-9310), and she can tell you all about what a good boy I am. My adoption fee is $300 ***RPSM DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG, PLEASE CONTACT BARB AT (269)-425-9310***
