Dior is a ten-month-old bundle of fun, curiosity, and affection who is fully embracing her goofy teenage phase. She loves to run, play, and explore, and she’s happiest when she has someone willing to join in the fun—whether that’s chasing around the yard, tossing toys, or showing off her newest discovery (stuffed animals are currently a favorite!). While Dior can be shy at first and may act like she needs to protect herself in new situations, she warms up quickly once she realizes she’s safe. Then her sweet side comes shining through—expect hugs, play invitations, and a dog who wants to be as close to her people as possible. She loves knowing where her humans are and will happily become your little shadow while still making time to investigate every corner of the house. Dior does well with routine and thrives when she knows what to expect. She’s still working on letting you know when she needs to go outside, but she’s making progress. She also enjoys other dogs and greets them with excitement and a playful attitude. This affectionate, energetic girl is equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle companion. She’ll keep you laughing with her goofy antics, then curl up beside you for a well-earned nap. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. She's always at a level 10 and loves to run and chase. Sophie would do amazing in a home with an active family. She would benefit from consistent training and mental enrichment to keep her happy. Sophie does show signs of separation anxiety when left alone. She would do best being left in a kennel when home alone. This will keep her feeling safe and secure and help to keep Sophie out of trouble when no one is home to keep an eye out. Sophie has met dogs and did well with them. Sophie does enjoy chasing things, so a home with no cats, young children, and small animals would be ideal for Sophie. Due to this she cannot be adopted out to a home with cats. Sophie has done well with older children on field trips. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing home a new animal. Ask a TCHS staff member for tips! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
