Story
WATERDOWN, ON Despite his challenging start, Cesar, the delightful three-year-old standard poodle, quickly became a beloved member of our SPIN family. With his irresistible standard poodle charm, Cesar found himself in a predicament, diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis, but his spirit shone through. In the midst of an overflowing shelter, facing tough decisions, the compassionate staff saw beyond Cesar's challenges and reached out to SPIN for a brighter alternative. Welcoming this affectionate snuggle bug into our rescue was a heartwarming decision, emphasizing that in the face of adversity, positivity prevails, and we're overjoyed to be part of Cesar's journey toward an even brighter future. If you are ready to be a part of Cesar's journey and even brighter future please contact us to start the conversation and give Cesar the forever home he truly deserves!

Story
Thank you for your interest in Cocoa. It's not fair that dogs are born and live their lives in a puppy mill. The lack of exposure to life outside the barn, to fun experiences, to wonderful people, makes it hard for them when they are sprung. Life on the outside can be scary even though it's so much better than the barn. Despite her past, Cocoa is making remarkable progress. She's learning to trust and relax, and her loving nature shines through more each day. With the right home, she'll continue to blossom into the wonderful companion she's meant to be.

Story
Roman wants a family to call his own, he'll likely want to live in a detached house so he can run and bark at the squirrels, but if you live in a semi, a townhome or a condo, just make sure you will have a solid plan to keep him settled so his barking does not annoy your neighbours. If you were going to take some training with him, either group classes or one on one lessons, that would be great! We know Roman is going to love having an even stronger bond with you and nothing creates a strong bond like training together!

Story
Rizzo is available for adoption! FEMALE | 5 YEARS | 28 LBS | POODLE MIX Rizzo is a sweet and affectionate girl that absolutely adores attention and being near her humans as much as possible. She can be a little bit shy at first when meeting new people and tends to stick close to the humans that she trusts until she is confident and then quickly warms up to the new person. When she is comfortable with people, she can be bouncy and excitable and likes to jump up on people to say hello – but she is working on learning to have better manners when greeting her friends. Rizzo loves going on walks and likes to take in all of the sights and smells along the way. She is not on a mission to get anywhere quickly and serves as an excellent reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment. With proper introductions, Rizzo does warm up to other dogs and wants to play. She is less thrilled about kitty cats and finds them to be quite scary. She is doing very well with her potty training and has a perfect record so far! She also does well in a crate and is happy to lay in her bed or play quietly with her toys during the day. Rizzo would love a nice quiet home of her own with a human to love and cuddle with and a nice soft bed to lay her head on.

Story
Spudley | Neutered Male | 3 Year old | Standard Poodle Mix | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Untested | Kids: 12+ READ ENTIRE BIO, ONLY SELECTED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED Spudley was found in a rural area covered in filth and matted fur. This poor boy was likely a puppy mill discard after he had done his duties as a stud dog. Spudley spent several months getting healthy and is ready to find that perfect family. Spudley is a nervous dog. At this time he doesn’t enjoy being touched at all. He needs a patient person that is willing to slowly work with him on trusting humans after a lifetime of mistreatment. Spudley will need a fenced yard as he is a flight risk. People scare him right now and he will just need the time to learn that not every person is a bad person. He would do great with a confident stable dog to help him learn how to be a real dog! We have not tested him with cats. Because he is afraid of people, a home with young kids is not ideal. Kids are loud and move way too fast and he will have a hard time with that. Spudley is a good boy, not aggressive at all just fearful. Help us help him find his forever family! Spudley is Neutered and current on vaccinations. He is located in Oakville, ON. Apply to adopt! https://forms.gle/ofwHk3KHzcVX92Ci6
