He is a 1.5-year-old Miniature Poodle/Moyen Poodle weighing about 18 lbs of pure joy. With his rich brown and speckled black coat, he’s as adorable as he is charming. Marv is a bouncy, full-of-life sweetheart who greets each day like it’s the best one yet. His coat is non-shedding, which means he will need regular grooming and brushing to keep his handsome curls looking their best. Marv came from a puppy mill where he was never introduced to the outside world, so life has been one big, brave adventure for him. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a minute (and maybe a treat or two!) and he warms up quickly. This boy loves his food — snacks are absolutely the way to his heart — and once you’re in his circle, you’re in for good. Above all else, Marv loves exploring with his humans. He’s a smart pup who picks up on things quickly and is always watching, learning, and figuring things out. He’s endlessly curious and wants to explore everything around him. Because he didn’t get a typical puppy start in life, he’s making up for lost time — so even at almost 2 years old, he still has plenty of puppy antics. He’s bouncy, excitable, and we’re currently working on his jumping (he just gets so happy!). Personal space? He’s never heard of it. If it were up to Marv, he’d be lovingly laying on top of you at all times. He’s a medium-energy guy who enjoys his daily neighbourhood walks and does wonderfully on leash — usually right by your side or proudly leading the way. He can be slightly nervous when strangers pass by but is otherwise neutral around other dogs and cars driving by. At home, he loves to sprawl dramatically across the sofa. He’s also an enthusiastic chewer, so sturdy Nyla bones and chew treats are a must. Stuffed toys, however, do not stand a chance — they are quickly de-fluffed and artistically redecorated. At this time, he isn’t trusted unsupervised, as he’s still learning what is and isn’t a chew toy (slippers beware — he’s a sneaky little collector). Marv is currently living with another small dog and seems to learn quickly by watching his foster sibling. While he hasn’t shown much interest in playing yet, he’s content having a canine companion around. His forever home could have another dog or not — but if so, it should be one who is independent and comfortable sharing attention. Marv has shown no resource guarding with food or toys toward humans or dogs. He hasn’t been cat tested, but a dog-savvy cat who can tolerate a bouncy, playful pup could be a possibility. Marv goes into his crate when his foster is away from the home or at night, always with a treat or chew to make it positive. He doesn’t go in on his own just yet, but once settled, he relaxes. He may give a few initial barks but is otherwise not a yappy dog. The crate helps keep him safe while he’s still learning house manners. Marv picked up potty training very quickly — he lets us know he needs to go out by pacing and is starting to wait by the patio door. He loves zooming around the fenced backyard, and has started to pick up that playing with the tennis ball seems fun! Marv is gentle when taking food and treats and continues to work on jumping and door manners when people come and go. He truly means no trouble — he’s just overflowing with excitement and love and doesn’t always know where to put it. Because of his enthusiastic greetings, his ideal home would have children aged 10 and older who can enjoy his playful spirit. Obedience classes will be a wonderful outlet for Marv’s smart and curious mind. He truly enjoys learning new things and responds well to positive reinforcement. A class setting will boost his confidence and also provide a fun way for him and his forever family to build a strong connection together. Marv is great for bathtime, and can be picked up and handled without any fuss. For car rides, he travels safely in his crate but can be a little nervous during the trip. With more positive outings to fun places, we’re confident he’ll build his confidence in no time. He has received a clean bill of health from the vet, is neutered, and is fully up to date on his vaccinations. Marv is the sweetest, most well-meaning boy who is simply discovering the world for the first time. He’s looking for a loving, consistent family who will continue to guide him, celebrate his progress, and giggle at his cheeky slipper-stealing moments. He’s just happiest when his people are around, greeting you with full-body wiggles and soaking up every snuggle he can get. If you’re ready for a joyful, affectionate companion who will light up when you walk through the door and happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Marv might just be your perfect match. 🐾 Name: Marv ID # PDR1475 Age: 1.5yrs Gender: male Neutered: yes UTD vaccines: yes Breed: Miniature/Moyen Poodle Colours: red Coat length: med House trained: yes Special needs: no OK with kids: older OK with cats: yes Ok with dogs: yes Status: adoptable Microchip: yes Size: med Location: Cambridge Adoption fee: $800

Story
Thank you for your interest in Benny. His life didn’t get off to the easiest start — likely born in a puppy mill, Benny had very little exposure to the world around him. When a family brought him home, they quickly realized they didn’t have the skills to support his fears, and Benny struggled. That’s when SPIN got the call to help. When we first met Benny, he was timid but curious — a dog who wanted to trust, if only someone would give him the time and space to do so. And slowly but surely, that’s exactly what he’s been learning in his foster home. Benny has always been a sensitive dog, particularly around unfamiliar people and stimulating situations. With time, routine, and calm handling, he forms deep bonds and becomes loyal, affectionate, and playful with those he trusts.

Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Taeho Age: 2 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Standard Poodle Color: White Weight: 20kg / 44lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I once had an owner, but when he went to prison, I was left behind without proper care. By the time rescuers found me, I was severely underweight — only about 13kgs — and very malnourished. I looked so frail that at first they thought I might be much older. After some time, nourishment, and loving care, everyone realized I’m actually still a young pup with so much life ahead of me. My previous owner’s girlfriend later contacted the care facility to share that he is now in prison and made it clear that I should never be returned to that situation. While my past was difficult, it does not define me. Today, I’m safe, healing, and growing stronger every day. I’m surrounded by kind people who care for me, and I’m ready to begin a brand-new chapter — one filled with stability, love, and a forever family who will cherish me the way I deserve.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Neutered & healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a super smart boy — very typical of a poodle! I love interacting with people and truly enjoy soaking up pets and affection. The volunteers and staff are always praising how intelligent I am. I learn quickly, pick up on routines fast, and I’m very observant. I might show a little stubborn streak sometimes, but it’s not because I want to challenge you — I’m just clever and like to think things through for myself. I read the room quickly, understand people’s moods, and respond accordingly. With my energy, curiosity, and sharp mind, I’ll thrive in a home that understands poodle behaviors and appreciates a bright, thinking companion. I’m eager to learn, quick to master commands, and ready to bond deeply with my person.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I absolutely love people! I enjoy meeting everyone and happily soak up all the attention I can get. While I haven’t had much experience with children under 13 yet, I’m confident that with my friendly, positive energy, I’ll do well with respectful and gentle kids. I also allow myself to be picked up and enjoy being close to my people. · With Dogs: I’m friendly with my dog friends too! I enjoy greeting new dogs and love playtime once we’ve said hello. That said, I’m confident and not afraid to stand my ground if another dog is being overly pushy or rude. With thoughtful introductions and proper management when meeting new dogs for the first time, I do very well. I do well with all the dogs at the care facility and know how to navigate social situations with balance. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.    ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a high energy level and a bright, curious mind to match! I thrive with plenty of mental enrichment and outdoor adventures before I’m ready to relax indoors. In a new environment, I’m naturally curious and love to explore every corner — it’s my way of learning about the world. Once I’ve had time to investigate and burn off some energy, I settle down nicely and show my calmer side. My appetite is improving every day as I continue to recover and grow stronger, and I’ll likely fill out to around 25kgs once I’m fully healthy. I’m blossoming more and more each day, and with the right home, I’ll continue to grow into a strong, confident, and well-balanced companion.    TRAINING & HABITS  I walk nicely on leash and do a great job following my handler’s lead. I don’t guard my food from people, though I may give a small growl if another dog comes too close during mealtime — I just like my space while I eat. I rest calmly in my kennel and know how to relax when it’s time to settle. If I’m hoping for some attention, I might whine or give a little bark, but I calm down quickly. I prefer to potty outdoors, and in new environments I may mark at first, but once I feel comfortable, I settle in well.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever •  A family that understands I’m a smart boy and will need lots of mental stimulation and continued social obedience training • A family that understands my love for food & willing to continue to guide me with patience and love so I learn to be more patient when other dogs are nearby  • Ideally a family that is familiar with poodles – not an absolute requirement    SPECIAL NOTES  I’m a sweet and smart boy with a charm that’s hard to resist — I truly believe you’ll fall in love with me the moment we meet. I’m very intuitive and read the room quickly, easily picking up on your mood and energy. I love being in tune with my people and naturally adjust to bring comfort, companionship, and a little extra warmth to your day.   Taeho's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2666619##
