Story

Adorable Pookie was found with her hair matted to the skin and so fearful that she snapped at anyone who tried to get close to her. Once she realized that she was safe and was freed from the painful masses of hair, she became a completely different dog. She's a spunky little gal with a great personality! She loves affection and is happy to just follow her person around all day. She enjoys going for walks and jumping in laundry baskets filled with clean clothes. She will play with dogs her own size but isn't a fan of larger dogs. Cats aren't her thing either, but she doesn't bother them. She's doing well with potty training but still needs close supervision. She knows some basic commands and is happy to sleep in her crate. She only weighs about 12 pounds, so she doesn't take up much room. Although Pookie has done very well, she would be best suited for a home with children 12 and up.

I'm a super sweet girl who loves naps, especially after long walks (2-3 miles), which helps keep me exercised both physically and mentally. While I love my walks, I do appreciate good hydration and don't like being too hot, so please bring some water along! I love cuddling, adventuring, playing with my balls, and zooming REALLY fast around the yard before crawling into bed to snuggle with you. I'm house and kennel-trained, too! I like to lounge around the house while you work or do whatever it is humans are so busy doing. Do you have balls at your house? If so, maybe we could play and I could stay forever and always?
