Story
Meet Dante! 🐾 Dante is a handsome 1.5-year-old Poodle weighing in at 54 pounds of pure love and energy. This sweet boy was found as a stray in the Houston area and brought to Camo Rescue by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. Now, Dante is ready to find his forever home! Dante is not only intelligent but also very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. Dante is also learning commands like “sit” and “lay down,” showing off his eagerness to please and incredible potential. With a consistent schedule and a bit of patience, he’ll have skills perfected in no time. With his puppy energy and larger size, Dante would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He’s dog-friendly and would enjoy having canine siblings to play with, but he’s equally happy as the only pup soaking up all the attention. Due to his enthusiasm and energy, Dante would do best in a home without small children. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate companion, Dante is your guy! 🐶❤️ Adoption fee is: $500 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Introducing Lady Avery, a 3½-year-old Goldendoodle with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. Weighing 51 pounds, Lady Avery came to us as an owner surrender along with her brother, Buddy Joe. These two are deeply bonded and will need to be adopted together—they find comfort and joy in each other’s company. Lady Avery is good with other dogs and especially enjoys playing and exploring outside with her sibling. She’s a sweet and affectionate girl who may be a little unsure in new environments, but with time and reassurance, her loving personality shines through. She’s especially motivated by treats (food is definitely the way to her heart!) and enjoys the freedom of being outdoors. She’s currently working on her leash and potty training and will thrive with a patient adopter who can help her build confidence and continue learning. With kindness, consistency, and a little time, Lady Avery will make a wonderful and loyal companion—especially when she has her beloved brother by her side 🐾. Adoption fee is: $400 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Meet Harlow Rene! This 2-year-old, 70-pound Labradoodle is ready to find her forever family. She came to us as an owner surrender and has proven to be a real sweetheart who craves attention and loves being pet. Harlow is very intelligent and already knows how to sit! She is fully house-trained and is working on her leash manners-she's a bit of a puller but improving with consistent guidance. Harlow would thrive as the only pet in her home, as she is not dog-friendly. She is also fearful of and reactive toward men, so a female-only household or one with patient individuals willing to help her build confidence around men would be ideal. This playful and affectionate girl would do best in a home with older kids who can match her energy and provide her with the love and attention she enjoys so much. Harlow is looking for a family who will embrace her quirks and give her the happy, secure life she deserves! Adoption fee is: $300 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Meet Bruno Mars, a 54-pound, 7-year-old Labradoodle with charm, smarts, and a heart full of love! Bruno came to us from another shelter, and it didn’t take long for us to fall for him. He’s a total sweetheart who adores human attention and will happily soak up all the love you have to give. He already knows how to sit and shake, and he's clearly a smart boy who enjoys learning and pleasing his people. Bruno is housetrained, walks well on a leash (though he could use a little guidance to curb his excitement—sometimes he pulls a bit too hard in his eagerness to explore!), and gets along great with other dogs. He’s full of energy and absolutely loves to run and play, especially outside where he can stretch those long legs. Due to his playful nature and tendency to jump when excited, Bruno would do best in a home with kids ages 12 and up. This affectionate, well-mannered guy is ready to bring joy, loyalty, and a whole lot of tail wags to his forever home. If you're looking for a fun, loving companion with a gentle soul and a playful spirit, Bruno Mars is your perfect match! 🐾💛 Adoption fee is: $400 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies and other core vaccinations. Please complete an adoption application at https://www.asvtexas.org/adoption-application.html. Jax is a young doodle that is well socialized, good with other dogs and cats and very friendly.  He needs consistent structure to reinforce his training but he loves toys, walks and car rides!  Jax is doing well with housetraining and sleeps quietly through the night. He is still learning not to jump up when he greets you, body coordination (he is a growing puppy!) and basic training - his "sit" game is strong but checking out what you put on the counter is still hard to resist!  Jax would do best with a similar minded canine playmate to expend his energy and an active family with older children that won't be injured if he bumps into them or forgets jumping up is not an appropriate way to greet his family. His adoption fee includes his current vaccines, neuter, microchip and rabies. *Please note doodles are high energy dogs that require VERY regular grooming and a very active lifestyle* If you are interested in meeting Jax, please submit an adoption application at www.ASVTexas.orgASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals. June 11, 2025, 3:40 pm

Story
Adorable Pookie was found with her hair matted to the skin and so fearful that she snapped at anyone who tried to get close to her. Once she realized that she was safe and was freed from the painful masses of hair, she became a completely different dog. She's a spunky little gal with a great personality! She loves affection and is happy to just follow her person around all day. She enjoys going for walks and jumping in laundry baskets filled with clean clothes. She will play with dogs her own size but isn't a fan of larger dogs. Cats aren't her thing either, but she doesn't bother them. She's doing well with potty training but still needs close supervision. She knows some basic commands and is happy to sleep in her crate. She only weighs about 12 pounds, so she doesn't take up much room. Although Pookie has done very well, she would be best suited for a home with children 12 and up.

Story
Born 1/9/24 Ive had Charlotte just under a year.We had a house with a backyard and a doggy door. I have moved Closer to my doctor And am living in a full time RV situation and charlotte is not adjusting well At all. Charlotte Has regular doggy needs And its hard for me to take her in and out of this R. V not to mention the fact she's not happy at all, so I need to rehome her. I need someone that is gonna give her the attention and love She deserves. She is a lovely lovely soul. I have turned 65. And I have realized that my years of caring for animals has come to an end. It's gonna be unfair to keep her. I cannot continue to do this. My back and my body are not in great shape. She has been microchipped And is completely up-to-date on her shots. I have all of her shot records. And she has a bucket of toys, water dish, food, bowl and food that will go with. When she had the doggy door she was trained to go outside. We are close to the Woodlands tx
