Story
Hi… I’m Lainey Wilson. I’m only a year old, about 50 pounds, and somehow I already know what it feels like to be scared and alone. I was running through traffic, weaving between cars, not really knowing where I was going… just trying to make it to the other side of something I didn’t understand. Then someone stopped. They didn’t look away. They didn’t keep driving. They chose me. That moment changed everything. Now I’m safe with CAMO, and my healing has begun. My body is still catching up. My skin is a little crusty and scabbed as it heals, and my ears are almost back to normal after an infection that made everything harder than it should have been. But the vet says I’m going to be just fine… and for the first time, I think I believe it. Because even after everything, my heart never forgot how to love. I love people. I love other dogs. I love being close, leaning in, feeling like I belong somewhere. It doesn’t take much to make me happy… just a gentle hand, a kind voice, and the promise that I won’t have to run alone ever again. They say I’m going to have a glow up, and maybe I will. Maybe my coat will grow back soft and full, and my skin will heal until you can’t see where I’ve been. But the best part of me is already here. I’m the girl who kept going. The girl who still trusts. The girl who just wants a family to love her back. I promise, I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you just how much that means to me. Story
Meet Big Toby Doodle, a 5-year-old, about to be 6-year-old, 45-pound Standard Poodle with a big personality and even bigger energy. Toby is a smart, active guy who thrives when he has structure, exercise, and clear leadership. He loves to run and play and will happily zoom around the yard showing off his bouncy moves and goofy grin. Once he’s had a chance to burn off that energy, Toby enjoys settling down nearby for some well-earned relaxation time. Because of his strong personality, Toby will need an experienced dog owner who is comfortable continuing his training and providing consistent boundaries. He can be food protective and has a dominant nature, so a confident handler who understands dog behavior will help him succeed. Toby is eager to learn and responds well to guidance—he just needs someone committed to helping him be his best self. Toby would do best in a home without young children and with an active lifestyle that keeps both his mind and body engaged. When he’s bored, this clever boy will find his own entertainment, so regular exercise, enrichment, and training will be key to keeping him happy. If there is another dog in the home, Toby will need a slow introduction to a calm, chill dog. For the right person, Toby has so much to offer—loyalty, intelligence, playful energy, and plenty of personality. If you’re looking for a fun, active companion and have the experience to help Toby thrive, he could be the perfect match. Adoption fee is: $300 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. 🐾 Meet Scarlett Swan! 🐾 Scarlett Swan is a stunning 1-year-old white Standard Poodle, weighing about 40 pounds, with a soft spirit and a heart full of love just waiting to blossom. Graceful and gentle, she may look elegant on the outside—but inside, she’s still a shy young girl learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. Scarlett is incredibly sweet and energetic, but she can be a little nervous and unsure in new situations. She’s the kind of dog who needs a little patience and reassurance—but once she starts to feel comfortable, her gentle, loving nature truly shines. Watching her come out of her shell is something really special. If there’s one thing Scarlett definitely loves, it’s food! Treats are the fastest way to win her over and help build her confidence. With a few snacks and a lot of kindness, you’ll quickly see her start to trust and connect. Could Scarlett be your new BFF? Story
Meet Harlow Rene! This 3-year-old, 70-pound Labradoodle is ready to find her forever family. She came to us as an owner surrender and has proven to be a real sweetheart who craves attention and loves being pet. Harlow is very intelligent and already knows how to sit! She is fully house-trained and is working on her leash manners-she's a bit of a puller but improving with consistent guidance. Harlow would thrive as the only pet in her home, as she is not dog-friendly. She is also fearful of and reactive toward men, so a female-only household or one with patient individuals willing to help her build confidence around men would be ideal. This playful and affectionate girl would do best in a home with older kids who can match her energy and provide her with the love and attention she enjoys so much. Harlow is looking for a family who will embrace her quirks and give her the happy, secure life she deserves! Adoption fee is: $150 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Oreo is a Golden Doodle/Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix. I’ve had him since he was born, and he’s now 6.5 months old. He’s a very energetic puppy who loves to run, play, and even tries to herd us—which is honestly really cute. He can be a little apprehensive around strangers, mostly because I haven’t been able to socialize him as much as I would’ve liked. Since moving to Texas, my schedule has changed and I’m gone more than I’m home, which hasn’t allowed me to give him the time and attention he truly deserves. He is currently doing well on Hill's Science Diet Adult Light Chicken, which has been the only food that doesn’t upset his stomach. I want what’s best for Oreo, and I believe he would thrive in a home where he has plenty of space to run and play, and someone who can spend more time with him. He would likely do especially well on a farm or in an active household. Oreo is crate trained and has so much potential—he just needs the right environment to live his life fully.
