Chester is an amazingly sweet boy, he means no harm to anyone, he’ll bark at you in the beginning, but as soon as he knows you’re OK, you’re his best friend. (as long as you pet him)
When walking in the neighborhood he’s very reactive to strange people, dogs, and moving objects; etc, strollers, big wheels, wagons or people riding bikes. I think he’s never had exposure to these type of things.
He’s the most amazing boy inside the house, he will absolutely not do his business inside, he woke me up at 3:00 am with his paws and let me know he needed to go out.
He will not get on the couch or bed (unless invited) He will not stay on the rug unless invited as well.
He absolutely loves being petted and being the center of attention, so much so, that he demands it. He’s a little spoiled and has a dominant personality.
He’s extremely codependent with the person he’s with, he’s a shadow, you will not get out of his sight (I promise) lol.
He is not a player of toys, unless you’re motivating him to do so. He’s not a chewer, no toys will be destroyed.
Again, the reactivity towards the neighbors dogs, and other dogs /people caused me concern, he gets tunnel vision when he wants something and will not listen (no matter what) I really think he just wants to play, but in his past life, just never had the chance.
I think Chester, would thrive in a household, with a brother or sister that he could play with throughout the day. Or someone with him all day.
He knows, sit, stay, come inside and place. He won’t lurch out of the door, and isn’t a runner. He can be off leash as long as there aren’t any distractions.
I know there’s a perfect situation for Chester, maybe a house with land and friends, or someone that can spend the time to get him acclimated to other dogs or people.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
