Story
Meet Sleepy! 🤍This sweet 10-year-old, 15-lb boy is looking for a calm, loving forever home.Sleepy may be shy at first, but once he feels safe, his gentle personality melts your heart. He loves being cuddled, rubbed, and brushed, and one of his favorite things is carrying his plush toys from room to room like little treasures. 🧸 He truly seems content just being near his person.Sleepy can be fearful around new people and has some separation anxiety when left alone, so he’ll do best with someone patient and understanding who can help him continue building confidence. He is crate trained and still working on potty training.Because Sleepy has limited vision, he prefers to be picked up while you’re sitting down—it helps him feel secure and relaxed. Once he trusts you, he’s incredibly sweet and just wants to be close. 💕We would love for Sleepy to stay with his brother Bashful, but he could also thrive as an only pup or with another calm, gentle dog.Sleepy is a soft soul with a big heart, just waiting for the right person to make him feel safe and loved forever. 🏡🐶To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

Story
Meet Rocket, the ultimate gentleman in a fluffy package! This 17-pound poodle mix may be 11 years young, but you’d never guess it by the way he trots around with a sparkle in his eye. Rocket is proof that age is just a number—he’s still full of love, charm, and just the right amount of pep.Rocket has a heart as soft as his curls. He’s wonderfully gentle and gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him the perfect fit for almost any family. Whether it’s curling up for a movie night or tagging along for a walk, Raymond’s favorite place to be is right by your side. He is a true snuggler who thrives on companionship and will happily soak up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. This little man has mastered the art of being both calm and affectionate, with just enough energy to keep life fun and sweet. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will warm your lap and your heart, Rocket is ready to show you that senior dogs make the very best companions.Rocket did come to us with a habit of marking when is allowed to free roam indoors. He does not have full accidents inside but will try to mark his territory here and there. He does not mark while he is in his kennel. We recommend him being kenneled or wearing a belly band when left unsupervised to avoid any marking. To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. Story
Meet Doodle Bug 🐞🐶💛 Proof that good things come with curls—and a sense of humor. Doodle Bug is an 8-year-old male Labradoodle weighing 45 lbs, and he’s basically a professional love sponge. This guy is very sweet, obsessed with attention, and firmly believes your hands exist solely for petting him. Stop scratching? He will gently remind you. Immediately. He’s potty trained (because he’s a classy gentleman) and has traded in his wild puppy days for a lifestyle focused on cuddles, naps, and being told he’s a good boy—which he absolutely is. Doodle Bug was rescued from a kill shelter, and he’s making up for lost time by loving hard. Doodle Bug is heartworm positive, but don’t let that scare you off—he’s already got the hardest part mastered: being sweet, patient, and cooperative. He’s ready for a calm, loving home where he can heal, relax, and soak up all the affection he’s been missing (preferably on a comfy couch). If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with a goofy name, soulful eyes, and endless gratitude, Doodle Bug is ready to crawl right into your heart—and probably your lap too 🐞💗 Adoption fee is: $350 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
