Story
Shadow is a 1yr old Shepard/Schnauzer (we think) mix that we adopted from Peggy Adams back in February. He came from an abused household in Naples so he’s very timid around men; he adores women though! He’s incredibly loving and playful with children soft & gentle when taking treats. Once he develops a schedule with being taken out for potty he will make sure you stick to it! He’s energetic and likes playing catch or just running around with the zoomies in general. Would prefer a home with a yard to run and play in and with children to play with. Bonus if there’s an extra pup around to be friends with. He does have some anxiety for the first few days/weeks when being left alone until he gets used to it.

Hi, I’m Barkese… yeah, I know—it’s a pretty funny name! But I promise, I’m a seriously great dog. My owner loves me very much, but sadly their health is failing and they can no longer take care of me. It’s been a hard change for both of us, but now I’m hoping to find a new family to call my own. I’m a very active pup who loves to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors. That’s how I’ve spent most of my life so far. But if I’m being honest… I’m ready for something more. I dream about having a home where I can come inside, curl up on a soft bed, and snuggle close to my people at night. I have so much love to give and energy to share—I just need someone willing to give me a chance. Could you be the one to show me what a forever home feels like?
