Story
Meet Courie!  Is this not the most adorable little girl?!?! She’s an extra special girl, looking for an extra special home! Courie - pronounced KUR•eee and short for “Courage - is a 1(ish) yr old Schnauzer mix. Courie was found running scared down Peachtree Industrial Rd in Atlanta. Shelter staff quickly realized that she would not handle a crazy shelter environment very well and so reached out to RMG so she could get into a foster home. It took a few weeks of being absolutely terrified, but once Courie started to decompress we finally got to see glimpses of her amazing personality!  Courie LOVES to play with friends - her current foster bestie is Huxley! She will definitely need a more confident playful dog in her forever home to play with and to help her continue to build confidence, along with a fenced yard. One fear Courie is still working on conquering, though, is her fear of men so she will need an all female household - one that is calm and patient, and has experience with timid/fearful dogs. We know this might seem like a bit of a unicorn situation, but Courie deserves nothing but the best and so we are off in search of the best for her! Are you the Unicorn Courie is waiting for? Story
I’ve had Apollo since about 2017 and I love this dog. He’s very, very sweet and loves his head and belly rubbed. He’s a typical schnauzer, smart, routine oriented and territorial. He’s very open with humans, especially after he does his whole little “sniff you out to feel you out” deal and then will be all over you. I’m going moving abroad and unfortunately I cannot bring him with me. If there are any questions please reach out.

Story
Meet Bishop, a 1.5 year old mixed breed dog, who we think may be part Schnauzer and Poodle. Like the bishop in chess, he moves through the house with effortless grace, always finding the perfect diagonal path straight into your lap. And like Bishop from X‑Men, he is brave, loyal, and big hearted, a resilient yet quiet little protector who has come through his own tough chapters and emerged stronger and sweeter than ever. At about 35 pounds, Bishop is energetic, playful, and confident. He loves greeting familiar faces and new friends (human or canine), sprinting around the yard, squeaking his favorite toys, and settling in wherever his people are. He’s crate‑trained, house‑trained, and currently working on his leash manners. Bishop is kid‑friendly and dog‑friendly, and he already knows a few basics like “sit,” “no,” “home” (his crate), as well as his own name. With a treat involved, he’s all ears and eager to learn more. Bishop’s ideal home includes a fenced yard and an outgoing family who enjoys being outdoors as he’s happiest when he can run, explore, and join in on adventures. He still has some puppy tendencies, so a patient, consistent owner will help him continue to shine. While he’s great with kids, those 5 and up may be best suited for his current strength and enthusiasm. If you’re searching for a fun‑loving, affectionate, and devoted companion, Bishop is ready to make his move straight into your heart. To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $450, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing.

Story
Meet Charlie – Your Pocket-Sized Best Friend with a Big Heart  Charlie is a 2–3 year-old Yorkie/Schnauzer mix weighing around 16 pounds, and he is pure joy wrapped up in a small, scruffy package. Charlie greets life with a happy, playful spirit that’s impossible not to smile at. Charlie is incredibly social and would thrive in a home with another playful dog who can be his buddy for zoomies, games, and backyard adventures. He’s a lover boy who not only loves to be held, but also a toy-loving, fun-chasing, tail-wagging kind of boy… honestly, he might pick his toys over food if given the choice! His happiest moments are running freely in a fenced yard with his doggie friends, playing, exploring, and also being part of the action with his people. ✨ What makes Charlie special: Friendly, social, and affectionate with everyone Loves other dogs and would adore a playmate Energetic, playful, and full of happy personality About 16 lbs—perfect small companion size Thrives with space to run and play Charlie is also a homebody at heart and would do best in a stable, loving home where he can stay close to his person and enjoy a predictable, comforting routine.  A little note from his care team: Charlie does require daily eye medication and may need ongoing eye drops long-term. It’s simply part of his care routine—and it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He takes it all in stride, and it’s a small thing compared to the huge amount of love, joy, and companionship he gives every single day. Because when you meet Charlie, you don’t see “medication needs”—you see a happy little dog with the sweetest soul, the gentlest heart, and a personality that fills an entire room. He’s the kind of dog who makes life lighter, funnier, and a whole lot more loving.  May 13, 2026, 12:03 am
