    **Home for the Holidays adoption special.  Half price adoption fee through December 31st     Osmond JoJo (a.k.a. JoJo) is a small, sensitive dog looking for an adults-only home.Osmond's requirements for his special person include someone who: Respects his space and boundaries Shows a willingness to continue training, and Follows a behavior plan and provides a calm, structured environment Understands dog body language Osmond does have a history of defensive behavior and will act out if pushed or mishandled. He requires extra preparation for grooming or invasive vet visits and has just recently started medication to help manage anxiety.   Despite his little quirks, Osmond is a loyal, cuddly companion when given trust and a routine. He enjoys quiet time, enrichment, and gentle affection on his terms. Positive reinforcement and slow introductions to all situations are essential. If you are patient, experienced with fearful dogs, and looking for a low-key, loving partner, Osmond might be your perfect match.  If you are interested, we do have more detailed information that can be forwarded. Enid is a tiny, precious 10-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with the biggest heart packed into a little body. She’s currently heartworm positive, which means she’s looking for a foster-to-adopt home while she completes her heartworm treatment (fully supported by the rescue). Once treatment is complete, she’ll be ready to make things official with her forever family. Enid is the definition of a velcro dog. Snuggles aren’t just her favorite- they’re her lifestyle. She wants to be physically close to her people at all times: in your lap, in your arms, or right by your side. “Lap dog” doesn’t even begin to cover it. She thrives on affection, loves being included in daily life, and is perfectly happy tagging along for errands or outings just to be near her humans. She’s incredibly easygoing, sweet, and gentle, and would do best in a home where someone works from home or is around most of the day. Being close to her person brings her comfort and happiness. While Enid doesn’t dislike other dogs, we feel she would be happiest as an only dog, where she doesn’t have to share attention. She’s very people-oriented and wants all the love for herself. She can also be a bit talkative when her people leave, so a home (not an apartment) would be ideal. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will adore you endlessly, Enid is ready to curl up in your heart, and your lap, forever Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
