Story
Meet Coda and Jace, an adorable bonded pair of 8-year-old best friends who have spent their entire lives side by side. When their beloved owner entered hospice, their world was turned upside down, but one thing never changed—their devotion to each other. Jace is the affectionate sidekick, while Coda has a slightly more independent streak, but together they are the perfect match. These two have been deeply loved and exceptionally well cared for throughout their lives, and they are both healthy, happy seniors with plenty of love left to give. They enjoy quiet days, cozy naps, gentle companionship, and simply being near the people they love. More like siblings than friends, their bond is truly special, which is why they will only be adopted together. If you’re looking for twice the love, twice the loyalty, and two sweet souls to share your home, Coda and Jace are ready to spend their golden years wrapped in comfort, security, and love—with each other and with you. The adoption fee for the pair is $400.~~If you are interested in this animal, you can complete the questionnaire found on the available pets page of our website http://hbpr.org. Story
Petey is a 12-week-old cutie with the sweetest teddy bear looks and an even sweeter personality. This adorable boy is naturally curious and loves exploring the world around him. He can find fun in just about anything, from toys and dog bowls to the occasional bottle cap. We were told Petey is Yorkie/Schnauzer mix, but we see a lot of Shih Tzu traits.  Petey is a wonderful little companion who loves staying close to his people. Whether he is watching his foster mom cook or keeping her company while she works, he enjoys being part of the action. He has a friendly, outgoing personality and does well with both people and other dogs. Petey enjoys car rides and is extremely social; he has never met a stranger.  Petey is also making great progress with house-training and is learning to go to the door when he needs to go outside. He is already crate-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night. With his playful curiosity, gentle companionship, and lovable personality, Petey is sure to bring so much joy to his future family. Fenced yard and companion dog required. Adoption fee $650.  Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. All Ruff Redemption Dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care. Rabies vaccines are given if the dog is 16 weeks of age or older.  June 28, 2026, 12:35 pm

Story
We rescued Otis’ mom. She had him in a litter of five. I found good homes for all but Otis. He was my husband’s dog and very close to him. Since my husband passed away a few months ago, Otis has anxiety. He gets along with our other three dogs until it’s time to eat. My grands moved in last year and he loves them, until they start playing or rough housing him. I think he would be good with an older person or couple. (I am 67 yo. 😃). I really hate to see him go (we all love him) but I think he would do better away from the dogs and grands.
