Story
SWEET & FUN NATURED:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 26 lbs. Hi, my name’s Penny!  I had a home, but – unfortunately – my previous owner lost their home, and could not take me with them given their circumstances.  Thankfully, Mostly Mutts is my hero, and they have welcomed me with open arms and are going to find a great new home for me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I am sweet with the other dog I came in with, but didn’t like it when a dog I met at Mostly Mutts tried to play with me.  I might like a calm dog in my new home to coexist with, so if you have a calm doggie at home already, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but my former owner reported that I liked the kids I met while I was with them though I don’t recall their ages.  On a walk with my temp. foster, I was sweet when I met some elementary aged children in the neighborhood, though I did excitedly jump on them.  So, if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super sweet, friendly and fun dog!  Though not a lap dog, I do enjoy being on the couch with you or at the foot of the bed. I seem to play hard and nap hard – lol.  I haven’t been a big barker, but I do bark to alert you as I feel all good dogs should do. / My former owner said that I had a high energy level, but I don’t think it’s super high. Seems to be about 4-6 while at Mostly Mutts. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer!  So far, I know the ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘stay’ commands, as well as use proper door etiquette and walk nicely on a leash.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and in my temp. foster home. / My former owner reported that I was potty trained, my potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule, and I went to the door in my temp. foster home to let my foster know I needed to go outside. Hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I really enjoy belly rubs and going for walks.  I like to play fetch, and will bring you a toy, drop it, and wait for you to throw it again!  I enjoy napping on pillows and blankets, and I also like going for car rides. In my previous home, I also enjoyed going out in the yard with the other dog and with my family, so we could run around and have some fun together!  I have a fun and sweet nature, so I’m sure we’ll discover all sorts of things we like doing together! / I can’t think of any dislikes yet but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I came in with a little dry flaky skin on my back side and I may have a flea allergy, so please keep me on a flea preventative.  I’m getting medicated baths for a little while and these can easily be done in my new home. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I’m a super sweet girl looking for a super sweet family to love! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 4, 2024, 8:01 am

Story
A FUN & ACTIVE FRIEND FOR YOU:  Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 22 lbs. & needs to lose a little weight Hello – I’m Howie!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and – it was clear that I had not been well cared for in my previous life for quite a while, and as I was so matted, I needed to be completely shaved.  Boy – do I feel better now!  I was also fed too much and need to lose a bit of weight to be my best!  I’ve started the doggie salt free green bean diet to help with this. I am getting great care while I wait to meet my new family.  Is that you?  Come meet me soon and find out!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I want to be your only dog as I do not want to share my people with other dogs, and I was not nice to a dog in a temp. home! I did meet a couple of dogs at Mostly Mutts and did alright with them as there were no bonded people involved, but I should not live with other dogs. / Cats unknown but I don’t think so since I don’t want to share my people. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so if you have much older kids such as teens, let’s meet.  I am a bit playfully mouthy, and I do take treats roughly at the moment, so best no young kids as I may not want to share my people with little children.       • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a very sweet guy with a friendly demeanor.  I am always happy to see the nice volunteers and I look forward to being playful and active with you.  I can be a bit of a tripping hazard, as I zig zag when I walk, so I should not be walked by someone with mobility issues. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I know the ‘sit’ command and would enjoy learning even more – especially because treats are involved.  In fact, I‘m a bit to grabby with them, so my trainer is working on that with me on that. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like my walks and  regular walks will help me meet my weight loss goals, so … lace up those sneakers and let’s GO! Toys are pretty fun, but I especially love attention and being active with people. I look forward to being a great companion. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I just had a dental cleaning with 3 teeth pulled, so my mouth is fresh again! I am looking for a home where I will be a much-loved member of the family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 4, 2024, 8:01 am

Story
Hi, I am Sandy and this is my little brother Bo! I am 5 yrs. Old and Bo is almost 1 1/2yrs, he is still a playful pup! He can be a bit of a bully, but what are brothers for {right}!! One of our favorite things to do together is play in the yard; we can chase each other for hours, and that's how we get our exercise. And...We love treats, we love treats!! Ok, wait, let's get back to the introduction...sorry. We are being rehomed because our mommy is sick in the hospital, and we have been taking care of each other...oh yes, the humans love on us too, they play with us, give us treats, cold iced water, and they rub our bums! Ok, thank you Sandy! We (the humans) would like for the brothers to be adopted together. They are great companions for humans and to each other. The main plan and intention is to keep the boys together in this adoption process. So many things have changed in their lives, we just want them to continue being together and being there for each other!
