Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mr. MAN saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 30 October 2023. Mr. MAN is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of October 2021 and in December 2023 has an estimated weight of 50 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos. Mr. MAN is an absolute sweetheart, brimming with affection and love. He loves to play and charge around with his other dogs friends, but equally, it nor a little more, likes to be with his humans, as close as can be. He would be great for a family that wanted a dog to take everywhere with them. He has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving.  He is responsive and is happy to show anyone he meets lots of love. He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Mr. MAN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $250. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Bozo was surrendered to us. They claimed to not know much about him, as he was given to the family surrendering him. Bozo is between the ages of 8-10 years old. Bozo recently had a dental, so he will need a wet food diet only.  He is blind and most likely deaf as well. He uses the peepee pads well and loves to eat. Bozo is UTD on vaccines, neutered and can be microchipped.

Story
Meet Sweet Baby Bates! A Standard Schnauzer who embodies the gentle soul of his breed in every way imaginable. Bates is the epitome of sweetness, carrying an aura of shyness and gentleness that endears him to everyone he meets. Despite his quiet demeanor, he has a heart as expansive as the great outdoors, overflowing with love and kindness for both his canine companions and humans of all ages. While he might carry the noble stature and the distinguished coat, the bustling streets of New York City aren't his ideal playground. He prefers the tranquility of less crowded spaces, where the sounds of nature are all to be heard. Bates truly is the best guy, a canine companion who brings a sense of peace and joy to every moment spent with him. His presence is a gentle reminder of the beauty of taking life at a slower pace, of the value of quiet moments shared with a loyal friend. Bates is 1.5 years old. He is vetted, neutered, and chipped. Our adoption areas include: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maine, Vermont, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
