Story
Little Man is a sweetie pie of a 2-year-old Schnauzer mix with a loving personality. He presently weighs 58 pounds. He was originally adopted from us, but unfortunately his owner died and Little Man came back. He’s a lovely boy who simply wants to cuddle and be cuddled. He loves to run around and play, and he gets along well with his canine pals. He might be a bit shy at first, but he quickly warms up. How about giving him his true forever home? (posted 3/7/26, ME) ' ' Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **June 17, 2026, 8:03 pm

Story
How cute can one dog be? We say as cute as Billy Ray, our 4-year-old, 10 pound mix of Schnauzer and Wire Hair Terrier. He’s not only cute, though. He’s also playful, energetic, and outgoing. He gets along well with other dogs, but he does not like cats. Because he is so small, we prefer that he not go to a family with children under 10 who don’t always know their own strength when playing hard. This boy is a true delight! Story
Hi!  My name is Tommy and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked by Animal Control and taken to a scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up, I heard I was being placed on something bad called "the list".  Fortunately for me, someone from BCAA saw me and worked on getting me sprung and into foster with them ... yeah!  I was pretty dirty when I first got here but BCAA got me groomed and say I've turned out to be a handsome dude!  I appear to be some type of doodle mix, maybe what is known as a "schnoodle" (part schnauzer & part poodle).  I am around 18mos old so past all of that puppy foolishness, and I weigh right around 40lbs.  When I first arrived I was pretty confused and a little scared, but everyone has been super nice to me and have been giving me yummy food and treats and now I love getting attention from them.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats I've encountered.  I do really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding; however, I would really prefer to be out with you.  I do ok on a leash but do pull in my excitement on being out and getting to explore and just experience being alive.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
