Story
Jasmine is a sweet senior Mini Schnauzer who adores attention and being around people. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. Jasmine prefers to keep her paws on the ground, so she’s happiest when loved from a gentle distance rather than being picked up. A calm, caring home would be perfect for this lovely little lady.To meet me, please fill out an adoption application on https://www.hartrescue.com/adoption-process

BONDED PAIR!Blacky and Nina are a devoted bonded pair who have spent their entire lives side by side, and they’re looking for a home where they can continue their journey together. Blacky, a 14-year-old Schnauzer weighing 19 pounds, and Nina, a 14-year-old Shih Tzu mix at 14 pounds, are the definition of gentle companionship. These two sweet seniors have calm, loving personalities and bring a peaceful presence wherever they go. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donate@yorkierescuehouston.org or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   We pulled this precious girl from Harris County Animal Shelter.  She was in rough shape!  Hair loss and scabby from itching! She's getting medicated baths and healing nicely.  She's a very sweet girl who was neglected or abandoned by her humans. She has impaired sight due to early onset cataracts  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 21, 2026, 8:37 pm

Story
Meet Aria — a sweet, loving girl looking for her forever home! Aria is a well-behaved and friendly dog with a wonderful personality. She is kennel trained, house mannered, and gets along great with other dogs, cats, and people, including kids. She has a gentle and social nature that makes her an easy fit for almost any loving home. Aria already knows several basic commands including sit, stay, lay down, paw, and spin. She is smart, eager to please, and loves attention and companionship. Whether it’s going on walks, playing, or relaxing by your side, Aria is happiest spending time with her people. She has been deeply loved and cared for, and this decision is not easy — unfortunately, due to a busy schedule, she deserves more time and attention than can currently be given. Aria would do best with someone who can give her the love, consistency, and care she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and well-trained companion, Aria could be the perfect addition.

Story
**Homebody Introvert alert** Hello, my SOCA name is Sirius Black but I go by the name Cutter. I was DNA tested and I am a mix of Schnauzer, Staffordshire terrier, and Boxer. I got my Shakira wiggle butt hips from my boxer side, the loyalty and attention from my Staffie side and the wild hair from my Schnauzer side. I am an easy laid back adult boy looking for a not so active person. I am a querky introvert who prefers to co-exist with you and I will be a great for someone who just wants an easy companion. I grew up with kids and love them. Because I am a grown adult, I am fully potty trained and I love to hang out in my crate, its my bedroom. I will lay by your feet in the kitchen or the living room. I am a FOODIE and very treat motivated. I must brag about being a master treat catcher! I will do anything for a treat. I love the back and belly scratches. Something silly about me: I like to rub on the side of the couch like a cat and sometimes I tend to rearrange the furniture when I do. I am very respectful when it comes to furniture and spaces. Meaning, I do not attempt to get on the couch or enter places that I am not invited to, such as your bedroom. I am a low maintenence guy who's looking to be your one and only. I dont really need to go on walks, but I do prefer a home with a yard. Since I am a home body, I will to do my business outside and wait at the door to come right back in. My adoption fee is $100 locally in Houston, TX and $250 out of state (includes travel fee and health certificate). I am up to date on all my vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Story
Hi there… my name is Ollie. Not too long ago, I found myself scared and confused in a loud, overcrowded shelter until the wonderful people at SOCA came to my rescue. Now I’m hoping to find a forever family of my very own. I’m a sweet, loyal boy who loves being close to my people. If you need a shadow, I’m your guy! Whether you’re relaxing at home, working around the house, or enjoying some fresh air outside, I’ll happily follow you just about anywhere. I’ve got lots of energy and would love a home with a large fenced backyard where I can run and play. I’d probably do great with another playful dog friend too! Right now, I’m learning commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “fetch,” and I’m excited to keep learning with the right family. I’m very food motivated, love my toys, and after playtime is over, my favorite place to be is curled up next to my person as your lap buddy. More than anything, I just want someone to love and stay close to forever. Maybe that could be you? ❤️ My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX. It includes all my vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchip. Fill out an app at: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQJune 22, 2026, 7:09 pm
