Story
Meet Linzy
Linzy is amazing and absolutely beautiful 1-2 year old schnauzer mix weighing 30 lbs. She has long legs and characteristics of a poodle, so she could be a Schnoodle. (Schnauzer/Poodle).
She was rescued from a horrible situation in Rio Grande Valley where she was tied to a tree 24/7. However amazingly her spirit is so sweet, very loving and playful. Due to having her puppyhood taken from her and being neglected, she now acts like a puppy that has found her new freedom since Camo rescued her. She loves to run and play. She is full of energy and she loves her person more than other dogs and not willing to share. It is so amazing to watch her run, for she glides like a deer, with so much joy. She would be great with an adult that loves to run as a sport. She is great on a lead, and very intelligent, and able to learn rather quickly. She can be stubborn due to never having freedom, but this will settle once she feels that security from her person. It is recommended she be the only dog, for she has never been socialized and wants her person to be available only to her. We also recommend Linzy go to a home without small children who may not understand her boundaries.
Linzy is heartworm positive, but this is a very treatable disease and treatment is covered by the rescue. Her adopter must be able to take her to Angel's Pet Hospital in Tomball for treatment. Heartworm treatment consist of a series of 3 injections, given one month apart. She would need to be kept in a calm environment during her treatment.
Adoption fee is $450.
All adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.comorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breeds dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
