Meet Links! Links is an adorable gray tabby boy born in July who currently weighs about 5 lbs. He and his sister, Butters, were found on a rainy night abandoned on a dirt road in rural Alabama, but this little survivor hasn’t let his rough start dim his bright spirit. True to his name, Links is fast as lightning! He loves racing around, climbing the cat tree, and turning playtime into his own little adventure. When the zoomies are over, he’s just as happy being held and will reward you with a loud, happy purr. Links is a fun-loving, sweet kitten who enjoys both playtime and affection. He’s also litter box trained and ready to settle into a loving forever home. If you’re looking for a playful little buddy who will keep you entertained and then curl up purring in your arms, Links might be your perfect match. 🐾🐱 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting. Rocco is a wonderful cat companion. We estimate him to be 15-18 months old and he weighs 10 pounds, from snacking with the kittens! Rocco was left my someone at a feral cat feeding station. He walked up to the feeder and meowed, letting her know he was new there. He walked into a crate without protest and never looked back! Rocco is loving, sweet, playful, active, and smart. He has mothered every kitten in his foster home. And he's been sweet on the female juvenile kitties in foster too. Rocco sets a good example in the kitty world for cats entering his foster home. Rocco would pair well with another cat, which will include hide & seek games, afternoon snuggles, and ear wax removal. Rocco is fostered in a Montevallo area foster home. We'd be happy to set up a meet and greet with an approved adopter. He has never lived with dogs. Adoption fee $175 Please copy and paste the link into your broswer to fill out the easy application online and someone will be in touch with you. https://form.jotform.com/232763732515154

Story
HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, DUCHESS, IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A NEW STAFF.  Duchess is an estimated 2-3 year old sweetheart who arrived as a stray wearing her very own pearl necklace. Clearly, she had been someone's beloved baby at some point. Unfortunately, she had no tags, no microchip, and no one ever came looking for her. Now this elegant little lady is searching for a new forever home where she can reclaim her rightful place on the couch. Duchess is already spayed, loves head scratches, and has perfected the fine art of being a professional couch potato. If you're looking for a calm companion who prefers relaxation over drama, Duchess may be your perfect match. Her adoption fee is sponsored and reduced to just $40. To schedule an appointment to meet Duchess, please call 256-362-5856. June 17, 2026, 2:03 pm

Story
HELLO FUTURE SERVANT—I mean FAMILY. My name is Starburst, and I am an 11-12 week old female kitten currently accepting applications for a full-time personal assistant. Duties include feeding me, admiring me, and telling me I’m pretty approximately 47 times a day. I came to the shelter with my mom and siblings, but unlike some of them, I have STAR POWER. It’s honestly exhausting being this adorable all the time, but somehow I manage. My hobbies include: • launching surprise attacks on unsuspecting shoelaces • parkour off the furniture • staring at absolutely nothing at 3am • sprinting through the house like I just remembered taxes are due • collapsing into a nap two seconds later The shelter staff says I’m your “typical playful kitten,” but I prefer the term “tiny furry entertainment system.” I’ve been hanging out here waiting to be old enough for my big girl surgery, and next week I’ll officially be: • spayed • vaccinated • microchipped • fully prepared to redecorate your home with toys you’ll trip over barefoot My adoption fee is SPONSORED and reduced to just $40. For forty dollars you get unlimited comedy, emotional support, and a professional biscuit maker who occasionally bites your toes for fun. That’s value. If you’re interested in meeting me, your future queen of chaos, please call to schedule an appointment: 256-362-5856 Serious inquiries only. I cannot continue living in these conditions where people expect me to share attention with other kittens. June 19, 2026, 3:40 am

Story
EXCUSE ME. Before you keep scrolling, I need you to understand something important: I am Jelly Bean Tiny.Perfect. Slightly unhinged. I’m an 11-12 week old female kitten who arrived at the shelter with my mom and siblings, and while they’re all nice enough, it has become very clear that I am the main character of this operation. The shelter people say I’m a “typical playful kitten,” which is a weirdly calm way to describe someone who: • sprints through rooms at lightning speed • wrestles dust particles • commits sneak attacks on ankles • climbs things I absolutely should not be climbing • falls asleep mid-chaos like I pay bills around here I’ve been chilling here waiting to get old enough for my spay appointment, and next week I’ll officially be: • spayed • vaccinated • microchipped • fully licensed to cause adorable household mayhem And the best part? My adoption fee is SPONSORED and reduced to just $40. That’s right. For less than the cost of a fancy dinner, you can adopt a tiny fuzzy goblin who will: • supervise your every move • “help” fold laundry • randomly appear in the bathroom • dramatically flop over for attention • turn your house into a full-time kitten circus I am equal parts sweetness, zoomies, and bad decisions. If you’re interested in meeting me and beginning your life as my emotional support human, please call to schedule an appointment: 256-362-5856 Warning: Side effects of adopting me may include laughing daily, taking 900 photos a week, and never going to the bathroom alone again.May 29, 2026, 4:02 pm
