PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! STARBIE and his 3 siblings (SHADOW, ELCO & INKY) were rescued from Los Angeles, California on Alameda and 101 in a trucking company parking lot. Rescue mama was called that a lady was trapping all the cats to get them fixed and needed help with the kittens. So our trapper went out and brough us the kittens so they would not have to die in that truck parking lot. They brought us 2 different set of siblings. A total of 7 kittens. And now STARBIE is ready for her FUREVER home! And let's let her tell you all about herself! Hello, I'm STARBIE! As a young cat, I'm still learning about the world around me. I'm independent, so I don't need constant attention, but I'm sweet enough to melt your heart. My curiosity keeps me exploring, and my goofy side keeps me stumbling into silly situations. I'm smart, figuring out new toys quickly, and playful, always ready for a game. I can be a bit shy, but once I trust you, we'll be best friends. I've got a mischievous streak, and my zoomies are something to behold. I'm mellow too, so after a play session, I'm content to curl up and snooze. Why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to keep you entertained, provide plenty of laughs, and give you all the love a kitten can give. I'm ready to find my forever home, are you ready for a STARBIE-sized bundle of joy? STARBIE is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / MACKEREL TABBY MIX. She is about 1 year 6 months old and is good with cats. She has not been around young children or dogs. She has been around Guinea pigs. STARBIE is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. STEWART was saved by an independent rescuer. The lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. There was so many dead cats and feces everywhere. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. STEWART was one of the lucky ones to get out alive. Meet STEWART (or as his friends call him, Stewy), a gentle 5 year old tabby with a heart as soft as his plush, striped fur. This shy yet sweet boy hails from Lucerne Valley, CA, and has experienced quite the journey to becoming the loving companion he is today. While STEWART might be reserved at first, he has blossomed into a calm and affectionate cat who now craves gentle pets and quiet moments of connection with his caregivers. His favorite place to be is curled up in a cozy corner of his catio, where he can soak up the sun’s warm rays while lounging in his beloved cat tower. STEWART’s world revolves around the simple pleasures in life—especially his favorite treat, a Churu. He’ll happily let you pet him while indulging in this tasty reward, making snack time a special bonding experience. His transformation into a more confident and social cat is truly inspiring, especially considering his humble beginnings. While STEWART is still a bit shy, he draws immense confidence from the company of other cats. He thrives in the presence of feline friends, finding joy and reassurance in their companionship, and would love to share his new home with another gentle cat or two. He really shines when surrounded by other cats who are soaking up love and attention, making him the perfect addition to a multi-cat household. STEWART’s tender heart and quiet courage are just waiting to bring peace and warmth into the lives of his future family. He’ll need a patient and loving environment where he can continue to blossom at his own pace, but the reward will be a sweet, loyal companion who’s ready to fill your days with contented purrs and sun-soaked afternoons. Could your home be the peaceful sanctuary STEWART has been waiting for? He’s ready to meet his new loving family! STEWART is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. he is about 5 years and 6 months old and is GREAT with other cats. He has been around young children He has lived with dogs but have o idea what his interaction with them was.. STEWART is currently at a foster home in Beaumont. California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Gonzo is an interesting guy and is definitely a cat's cat. He tends to do his own thing and will find a comfortable hiding spot when there's too many people here at the lounge. Gonzo was originally rescued from the shelter as a single, one month old kitten with little to no socialization. If you're slow with him, or give him snacks, he might come over to hang out with you! Once he's comfortable, he's a total purr-machine! He would do best in a calm household with other kitties but no children. You can meet Gonzo and all our other available cats at our cat lounge: 56925 Yucca Trail, Suite B, Yucca Valley, CA 92284! Open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11-7pm. Story
Crush is a very sweet gentleman that loves to play around & explore his environment. He is a big fan of kicker toys and has proved to be quite the fiend for some catnip. He was originally rescued via an TNR along with his sisters and unfortunately due to severe allergies in the home, he is back in our care. He'll definitely need another furry friend in the house as this little guy has tons of energy and you'll often spot him cuddling (or wrestling) with another kitty resident here! You can meet Crush and all our other available cats at our cat lounge: 56925 Yucca Trail, Suite B, Yucca Valley, CA 92284! Open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11-7pm.
