Story
Link was found as a very young kitten, roughly 4 weeks old in 2015. He is a lover boy who has no concept of personal space when it comes to cuddling. He is never aggressive nor distructive. He has a way of making himself feel like a full grown tiger laying on you but just wants to be near you. He is standoffish of new to him animals/pets he doesn't know but once he knows they are safe, he just kinda does his own thing and cuddles with them when it's time for bed. He is a babysitter so he likes to follow children around the yard as they play to be sure they are safe. Unfortunately, our new environment/location and family dynamic has those with allergies towards him so he isn't able to stay in the bedroom and the new to him dogs aren't cat friendly so he is stuck upstairs by himself and I want him to be able to get the love and attention this sweet boy deserves.

Story
Hello World, meet Vincent! He is one of the Artists litter and was named after Vincent Van Gogh. He is a very flashy and handsome light tabby with beautiful white markings and mittens. He has rare and beautiful brown eyes. He will mature into a stunning adult cat. Vincent and his siblings came to Salty Paws as tiny babies after their Mom was hit by a car and they were found wandering and lost. We are not sure if it was a self-fulfilling prophecy or what, but much like his namesake, our Vincent is a bit socially awkward with humans. That said, he is amazing with all the other cats in the adoption cattery! Although shy and bit quirky, Vincent is actually a very easy cat to care for and will definitely blossom given the chance in a loving, patient, kind home. He is playful, always in the middle of the kitten/cat fun and loves all the cat trees, toys and cat furniture. He is a lot of fun, just needs to take the approach at his own speed. Since Vincent is so outstanding with other cats and for his continued social development, we would love to see him adopt with one of his siblings (Frida, Rosa or Theo - also adoptable), be paired up with one of his new cattery pals, or go to a home with an existing cat/kitten looking for a friend. He is estimated at 4-5 months old, fully vetted and ready for his life of cat-venture. With you? If you are interested in adopting Vincent, kindly fill out the following, easy online application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of our animals, home visits are also a requirement of adoption, including a foster-to-adopt situation, but we make it as unobtrusive and convenient as we can. Thank you for considering a rescue kitten!

Hello World, meet little Piper! This adorable guy came to Salty Paws with his brother, Sandy, when his people were no longer able to care for him. Because he has only known indoor living and the company of humans, he is super friendly, loving and outgoing. The little brothers are straight up LOVES! Piper is a well-adjusted, paw-some kitten who is getting up to date on all of his vaccinations and will soon be neutered. He and his brother were born on March 15 and are small for their age. But we are taking applications now so we can get him into a furever home as soon as he is ready. Piper is truly a special kitten and will make anyone a stellar BFFF (best feline friend forever). He is playful, curious, has excellent litter box habits and seems to do great with all the other cats and kittens he has met. To continue with his socialization, we would love for him to be adopted with his brother or into a home with an existing young cat or kitten looking for a pal. If you would like to adopt Piper, please fill out our easy, online application, which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of all of our animals, home checks/visits are a requirement of adoption, but we make this as unobtrusive and convenient as we can. Thank you so much for considering a rescue kitten!

Story
Meet Rosa, a sweet and adorable little torbie (part tabby, part tortoiseshell) girl who is one of five kittens in the Artists litter. She was named after French animal painter, Rosa Bonheur (who had a soft spot for animals). They came to Salty Paws after their Mom was hit by a car and they were found wandering and lost. Rosa is an exceptionally beautiful and feminine kitten with the most amazing colors and markings, cream, peach, soft grey, white and orange. Although she remains a bit shy (just needs to know you won't hurt her), she is always out and about in the cat room and loves the company of all the other cats and kittens. So far we haven't met a single one she has not gotten along with. Rosa is playful, quiet and given time and love, will blossom into a "best ever" BFFF (best feline friend forever). We are looking for kind, patient adopters who understand that it may take a couple weeks or so for her to settle in. Although not a requirement, to continue her social development and because she loves other cats so much, we would love Rosa to go to a home with one of her siblings (Vincent, Theo, Frida) or into a home with an existing cat-friendly feline looking for a little pal. Rosa is about 4-5 months old, fully vetted, spayed and ready for her live of cat-venture! Is that with you? If you are interested in adopting this beautiful little flower, please fill out our easy, online application which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of our animals, a home visit is also a requirement of adoption, including a foster-to-adopt situation, but we make it as unobtrusive and convenient as we can. Story
Play Yard Jon is currently in the adoption cattery with our charity partner, Petsmart of Hilton Head (430 William Hilton Parkway). Come visit him during their retail hours! This ruggedly handsome guy with the gorgeous swirly tabby coat is a renovated street cat who quite frankly, wasn’t much of a fighter to begin with. He is clearly a lover, not a fighter. So he needed a bit of patching up when his Foster Mom (a professor in Savannah) found him looking for a kind soul to help him out. Within minutes, he had her wrapped around his paw. Although he has perfected the “grumpy face,” he is an EXTREMELY nice cat who is soaking up all the comforts and love of indoor living. Salty Paws is working with his Foster Mom to find him his epic furever home. We all have to work together to end this epidemic of abandoned animals. What we know is that Jon has excellent house manners, uses his litter box faithfully and is now healthy, neutered and has all his vaccines. He is estimated at 1-2 years old and is ready to begin his next chapter. Jon is super snuggly, smart and perceptive; and if you want an adoring lap cat, he is your man. Bring snacks and a blankie, because he is READY! He still has eight lives left! While we don’t know how Jon is with other cats, we suspect he would do great with a cat who is kind to him and/or maybe a cat-friendly dog. It is all a matter of a proper assimilation and we have volunteers to help you with that. If you are interested in adopting Play Yard Jon, please fill out our easy, online application, which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of our animals, home checks are also a requirement of adoption, but we make that as convenient and unobtrusive as we can.
