Story
Hello World, meet Vincent! He is one of the Artists litter and was named after Vincent Van Gogh. He is a very flashy and handsome light tabby with beautiful white markings and mittens. He has rare and beautiful brown eyes. He will mature into a stunning adult cat. Vincent and his siblings came to Salty Paws as tiny babies after their Mom was hit by a car and they were found wandering and lost. We are not sure if it was a self-fulfilling prophecy or what, but much like his namesake, our Vincent is a bit socially awkward with humans. That said, he is amazing with all the other cats in the adoption cattery! Although shy and bit quirky, Vincent is actually a very easy cat to care for and will definitely blossom given the chance in a loving, patient, kind home. He is playful, always in the middle of the kitten/cat fun and loves all the cat trees, toys and cat furniture. He is a lot of fun, just needs to take the approach at his own speed. Since Vincent is so outstanding with other cats and for his continued social development, we would love to see him adopt with one of his siblings (Frida, Rosa or Theo - also adoptable), be paired up with one of his new cattery pals, or go to a home with an existing cat/kitten looking for a friend. He is estimated at 4-5 months old, fully vetted and ready for his life of cat-venture. With you? If you are interested in adopting Vincent, kindly fill out the following, easy online application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of our animals, home visits are also a requirement of adoption, including a foster-to-adopt situation, but we make it as unobtrusive and convenient as we can. Thank you for considering a rescue kitten!

Story
Hello World, meet sweet Leah! This stunningly gorgeous Torbie and white girl came to Salty Paws as a stray where she was pregnant and left to fend for herself. She was able to decompress and learn the ropes of being a house cat in foster care but then we learned her special skill ... she is a LOVE with all the scared kittens who come through the program. Something about her demeanor calms them instantly. Leah has made a full turn around with humans too! She has all the makings for a lap cat and is just the sweetest, most beautiful girl. She is still young and likes to play also! Although Leah can adopt as your one-and-only, she is a gem with all the other cats and kittens she has met. So she might make a great pal if you have an existing cat in the home. She is estimated at 2-3 years old, has been spayed, vetted, is FIV/FeLk negative and ready for her true and final furever home. Is that with you? We just know someone will love Leah as much as we do. She is so deserving of all the luxury of indoor-cat living. If you are interested in adopting Leah, kindly fill out our required, easy, online application, which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of the animals, home visits are a requirement of adoption, but we make it as unobtrusive and convenient as we can. Thank you for considering a rescue cat!

Story
Hey there — I'm Rocky, a 2-month-old grey tabby who's ready to bring adventure and excitement into your home! I'm litter box trained and already friends with other cats (including my littermates who are also available for adoption), so I'll slip right into multi-cat households. At my age, I've got that kitten energy that keeps life interesting — I'm curious about everything and always up for playtime. I promise you won't find a more entertaining little buddy than me!! Come meet me and get ready for the fun! To adopt me, please fill out our easy on-line application which can be found at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat. For my safety and the safety of all my fellow shelter animals, home checks/visits are a requirement of adoption, but we make this as unobtrusive and convenient as we can.

Story
Play Yard Jon is currently in the adoption cattery with our charity partner, Petsmart of Hilton Head (430 William Hilton Parkway). Come visit him during their retail hours! This ruggedly handsome guy with the gorgeous swirly tabby coat is a renovated street cat who quite frankly, wasn’t much of a fighter to begin with. He is clearly a lover, not a fighter. So he needed a bit of patching up when his Foster Mom (a professor in Savannah) found him looking for a kind soul to help him out. Within minutes, he had her wrapped around his paw. Although he has perfected the “grumpy face,” he is an EXTREMELY nice cat who is soaking up all the comforts and love of indoor living. Salty Paws is working with his Foster Mom to find him his epic furever home. We all have to work together to end this epidemic of abandoned animals. What we know is that Jon has excellent house manners, uses his litter box faithfully and is now healthy, neutered and has all his vaccines. He is estimated at 1-2 years old and is ready to begin his next chapter. Jon is super snuggly, smart and perceptive; and if you want an adoring lap cat, he is your man. Bring snacks and a blankie, because he is READY! He still has eight lives left! While we don’t know how Jon is with other cats, we suspect he would do great with a cat who is kind to him and/or maybe a cat-friendly dog. It is all a matter of a proper assimilation and we have volunteers to help you with that. If you are interested in adopting Play Yard Jon, please fill out our easy, online application, which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of our animals, home checks are also a requirement of adoption, but we make that as convenient and unobtrusive as we can.

Story
Hello World, meet Dusty! This shy and stunningly beautiful light tan little tabby girl came to Salty Paws as a stray, with her littermates Rusty and Sparkle (also adoptable). She is still a bit shy, but he is coming along and learning that humans can be kind. She loves other cats and kittens and is outstanding with all the cats and kittens in the adoption cattery. She is usually curled up with one of them, so she would be awesome for a cat who is looking for a friend, or adopted with another homeless kitten in our program. We are looking for a kind, patient home who will give Dusty time to adjust to a and understands that it could take her a week or two. Once she feels safe, she is loving, playful, quiet, excellent with her litter box habits and will make someone a great new BFFF (best feline friend forever). Dusty is estimated at about 4-5 months old now, is spayed, FIV/FeLK negative and has all of her vaccines. Won't you consider adopting her? If you are interested in adopting Dusty, kindly fill out our required, easy, online application which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat Home visits are a requirement of adoption, but we make it as unobtrusive and convenient as we can. Story
Hello World, meet Rusty! This adorable little orange fellow came to Salty Paws with his brother and sister (Dusty and Sparkle, also adoptable) when they were abandoned on Hilton Head Island and left to fend for themselves. He is still a little bit scared, but doesnt have a mean bone in his body. The older kittens and cats at the rescue are showing him the ropes and letting him know that people can be a LOT of fun and come bearing treats and toys and most of all, kindness and safety. Rusty is about 3 months old now and is starting to be super playful, adventurous and will make just about anyone a wonderful new BFFF (best feline friend forever). He is outstanding with other cats, so would love a home with one of his siblings, another kitten/cat in our program or adopted into a home with an existing feline looking for a pal. Rusty has been neutered, vaccinated and is FIV/FeLk negative. His litter box habits are great and he is just SO ready to find his furever family. Is that with you? Story
The dynamic duo, Batcat and sidekick sibling Scrapper. Double the love without the chaotic kitten phase! We are six-year-old brothers who have been together our entire lives. Because we are best friends, we keep each other company when you're away, meaning you never have to worry about us getting lonely or bored. Our current owner loves us dearly but is transitioning to a lifestyle that requires extensive international travel. To save us from the stress of constant flights, they are looking to place us in a loving, stable forever home. We come with all of our medical records and are up-to-date on everything. I am the quieter of the two, although I love attention from my human, especially belly rubs, just like my brother 🐈‍⬛

We are both very well behaved and let our human trim our nails every couple of weeks. We love being brushed, hanging out in our cat tree and laying by the open door in the sun.

Story
Nanta is a calm, loving companion who just wants to be near you. She`ll climb into your lap for a cozy hang, keep you company during yoga, and let you know she`s content with the most adorable soft chirps. She`s well-mannered, never gets into mischief, and will even let you rub her belly — a rare and special honor! She does prefer to keep her paws on the ground, so while she tolerates being picked up, she`ll politely let you know when she`s had enough. No drama — just honesty. Nanta is currently living with dogs and getting along well, and would likely do fine with another cat, especially a mellower one. She`s still getting to know a bold feline housemate, but she`s handling it with her usual grace. And did we mention she`s gorgeous? Nanta has stunning brown tabby coloring woven through with warm orange tones, and she is every bit as soft as she looks. If you`re looking for a gentle, beautiful girl who just wants to be part of your daily life, Nanta might be your perfect match.Good with cats? YesGood with dogs? YesGood with kids?
