Story
Acai is 1 years old. His birthday is December 29th. He is playful & he’s chill. He gallops sometimes as well. Does well with other cats, not sure how he’ll do with dogs. He is shy at first when meeting you but eventually comes out to say hi. Please reach out if you’re interested or have any questions. UTD ON SHOTS AND NEUTURED. I’d ask for a rehoming fee but I’ve been looking for a home for months on end and I really need to find a good home for him!!!

Story
My husband found Freya at a job site two years ago. She was a couple of days old. We took her to a local shelter where we ended up fostering her and she's been with us since. She is a good cat, not very active, always napping somewhere. She's super sweet but very independent. I am allergic to her and I feel like she deserves someone who can show her love and attention. I have tried avoiding this by having my daughter take care of her. She's recently started college so Freya isn't getting the attention she deserves. I would like for her to remain an indoor cat.

Sniffer is playful and sometimes a little nibbly on fingers, but it’s all part of his quirky charm. Food is definitely his love language, and he’ll happily follow you around for treats. Story
Otis is a smart cat, who deserves a quiet home. He did well when it was just us- but once we brought a baby into the home he has had a hard time adjusting. (11 months) He is anxious, and although he hasn’t hurt the baby he is losing his patience for her, which means it’s time for us to find him a place for him to feel safe and enjoys his home. He enjoys sitting in the back yard with you, and snuggles on his own time. He is good motivated and loves a wet food on a regular basis ( but not all of his meals). He also will sit for a treat if you snap and say sit. He is 3 years old, and although we got him young, he had minor aggression problems as a kitten which have gotten much better as he has grown and been trained with us. He will occasionally still bite or swipe your foot- particularly if he wants to be fed and hasn’t been. I want to be transparent about his Beachy so he finds a home that is a good fit for him with people who will give him the time to warm up he deserves.

Story
Need a little more happiness? Maybe a few more smiles? How 'bout a whole lotta extra laughter? If any of those are true, then you need to adopt eight-month-old Bean. She is an exuberant ray of sunshine who is an on-the-go kind of gal. Bean is one of our most fun kitties! She LOVES enrichment activities! You can always count on Bean to reach her paws out through her cage to get your attention. She flies high after toys-on-strings and has a blast trying to catch them. We know she'll bring up the energy level in any household because she brings ours up every day! Bean would love to be the only kitty in her new home and asks that kiddos are about 10ish and older. Even though she is a high-energy sweetheart, a home without a lot of commotion would suit her best! Bean is spayed and is available for adoption!

Story
"Adoptable Dewy (who has a sponsored adoption fee to an approved applicant!) is certainly talking to us more and lets us know when he wants a belly scratch. His absolute favorite pastime is watching the woods out the window. He is so funny to watch as he runs from window to window following squirrels and chipmunks go by. Our hummingbird feeder is another favorite of Dewy's to monitor." -Dewy's foster mom. He will do best in a quiet house with no children or other pets. He still startles at quick movements or loud sounds. Once he is comfortable, Dewy loves to play with crinkly toy balls, his catnip mixes, and cat dancers and he sure is becoming more and more comfortable. He grooms himself well as he likes to look his best! Eating and using the litterbox are not issues at all with good boy Dewy. Whoever adopts Dewy will need to have a lot of patience. While it takes a long while to earn his trust, he is so worth it. Dewy is about five-and-a-half years old and is neutered. Dewy is living in a foster home! To adopt this fluffy handsome hunk, please email us at pets@michianapets.org.

Story
You don't often hear of a cat surviving after being hit by a car. Well, Spot did. Although, now she is paralyzed and has very little function in her back legs. (Sidenote! Email us at pets@michianapets.org to request an application. Spot is in a foster home!) We were not sure if Spot was going to be able to make it through her trauma. But each day, she was getting stronger, healing more and was proving to be the absolute sweetest and most loving girl. We were so grateful to be able to give her a second chance. Spot needed a foster home because the kennel-life was not a fit for her. Her foster family is amazing and they created a bag that goes around her waist so she can "walk" around without getting abrasions and wounds on her back legs. Spot was not remotely interested in a wheelchair; her little drag-bag allows her to be just as mobile and she is totally succeeding! Here is a note from her foster mom: "Spot is a one-year-old spayed bundle of love and curiosity. Spot is an incredibly affectionate girl who wants nothing more than to be by your side (or better yet, in your lap). She will happily curl up for hours, purring and chatting away with her soft, sweet meows. She truly loves to “talk.” Spot’s favorite toys are anything with feathers, and she’s wonderful with dogs of all sizes. Despite losing the use of her back legs, Spot hasn’t lost her joyful spirit or her zest for life. She has adapted beautifully and gets around with ease, always eager to explore, cuddle, and make friends. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love, warmth, and a little chatter, Spot is your girl. She is full of curiosity, joy, and nonstop purrs. Please adopt the happiest little survivor. She is ready to roll right into your heart." -Spot's foster mom. Her adopter will need to be able to express her bladder but please don't let that deter you! Many of us had no idea how to until we were taught and now it is so easy! We can teach you, too! Of course, Spot is the perfect girl so she makes everything easy on us.
