Meet Miss Bunny UPDATE: November She really does miss the other two. She is showing no signs of pain or difficulty, jumping or running. She likes to lay with me, especially in the evenings. Totally a snuggles cat. This fluffball, was found huddled soaking wet and cold in the rain at the very edge of a busy highway in Pulaski County. We surmise she hopped a ride under a car and fell out. But who knows? She can't tell us. What she does tell us is she is a loving girl who has some SPECIAL NEEDS. SPCHS is very picky about all adopters to ensure the best home for each animal in our care. But Bunny has a genetic issue with her spine, it seems there is extra space or a missing vertebra. This causes her gait to be more like a hop, but it doesn't slow her down. But she will have to be watched for deterioration and perhaps limited on big jumps. She quite possibly will need pain medication thru out her life. Nothing slows her down currently playing full out with her foster siblings Sammie and Shade. Bunny is about 16 weeks and has had vaccines and flea/tick medication and wormed. This little girl is Bridget. Born June 2, so she is now 15 weeks old (as of 9-14-26). Bridget is a sweet, cuddly kitten. She is also playful with her litter mates and with other kittens in her foster home. Bridget is fully vaccinated, tested negative for diseases, and is scheduled to be spayed and microchipped in November.

Meet Tinker! She was found in a barn on April 25 barely 3 weeks old. No sign of a mama or siblings. SPCHS was asked for help and her foster took her to bottle feed. She is a brown tabby and will soon get her first shots etc.

This young lady is Bizzy. She is just over a year old and is fully vetted and microchipped. Bizzy is very talkative, friendly, and loves attention. She can be demanding when she wants food and can also be bossy with other cats. She is the mother of Barney, BeeBop, BeeJay, and Bridget.

Kasey was rescued from a a dreadful overgrown weedy junk yard. She was in the middle of labor when the Humane society got on site. She was struggling to deliver kittens in a rusty metal crate. She was a marvelous attentive mama. They are all grown and adopted, but Kasey has remained incredibly shy and afraid of new situations UNLESS Tommy McLin, her soul mate is with her. We are quite sure that Kasey wouldn't survive without Tommy so they must be adopted as a pair..

Norbert is an orange tabby approximately 12 months old boy March 2025. He is very sweet and likes to be a lap kitty on his terms. He plays well with other cats/kittens and does well with dogs. Norbert has been vaccinated, tested, neutered and micro chipped.

Malachite came to me after someone found him abandoned on their property. They were concerned he was going to be attacked by coyotes so they reached out and asked if I could take him in to which I agreed. Malachite has only been with me for roughly a month now but he is by far one of the sweetest cats I have fostered. At approximately six months, he’s not overly affectionate but he will occasionally come up for cuddles. He just prefers his own space. He’s also extremely well mannered at feeding time. Malachite is great with people and other cats. He does good with dogs after slow introductions. He just needs time to warm up to them. Malachite does have an adoption application as well.

Mike came to me from bell county after a concerned citizen made a post on facebook. Mike had wounds behind both ears along with infections in said ears. Turns out he was part of a colony whose original caretaker had passed away. Mike has come a long way in these two months learning how to trust and be an indoor cat. Mike needs to be in an indoor only home with no dogs. He would do best in a home with older kids who know how to respect boundaries. There is an adoption application as well.

 Everyone here loves me and says how gentle and kind I am. I raised my babies and am ready for a home of my own. I am on a soft food diet as I had to have my teeth removed due to stomatitis but I'm still as lovable as ever. Adoption fee is $200.
