I'd love to find someone looking for a well-mannered, independent lady to have around the house with them. - Bing Clawsby - 7 yr. old female American Shorthair/Tabby - Initially a private adoption as a kitten - Spayed, chipped, vaccinated, healthy - Was raised around a dog, but has not been a fan of other dogs or cats - loves humans - Big fan of naps, lap sits and scritches. - Professional biscuit maker - does figure 8s around your legs in her free time - Enjoys giving you judgemental looks, loafing on you in bed, and catching bugs you don't want to deal with - Small rehoming fee to avoid bad actors/ill-intent

Meet Miss Bunny UPDATE: November She really does miss the other two. She is showing no signs of pain or difficulty, jumping or running. She likes to lay with me, especially in the evenings. Totally a snuggles cat. This fluffball, was found huddled soaking wet and cold in the rain at the very edge of a busy highway in Pulaski County. We surmise she hopped a ride under a car and fell out. But who knows? She can't tell us. What she does tell us is she is a loving girl who has some SPECIAL NEEDS. SPCHS is very picky about all adopters to ensure the best home for each animal in our care. But Bunny has a genetic issue with her spine, it seems there is extra space or a missing vertebra. This causes her gait to be more like a hop, but it doesn't slow her down. But she will have to be watched for deterioration and perhaps limited on big jumps. She quite possibly will need pain medication thru out her life. Nothing slows her down currently playing full out with her foster siblings Sammie and Shade. Bunny is about 16 weeks and has had vaccines and flea/tick medication and wormed. Her adoption fee includes, combo testing, spaying and micro chip for ID. If you are interested in helping Bunny with her forever home fill out the SPCHS application.

Meet Tinker! She was found in a barn on April 25 barely 3 weeks old. No sign of a mama or siblings. SPCHS was asked for help and her foster took her to bottle feed. She is a brown tabby and will soon get her first shots etc.

Norbert is an orange tabby approximately 12 months old boy March 2025. He is very sweet and likes to be a lap kitty on his terms. He plays well with other cats/kittens and does well with dogs. Norbert has been vaccinated, tested, neutered and micro chipped.

Kasey was rescued from a a dreadful overgrown weedy junk yard. She was in the middle of labor when the Humane society got on site. She was struggling to deliver kittens in a rusty metal crate. She was a marvelous attentive mama. They are all grown and adopted, but Kasey has remained incredibly shy and afraid of new situations UNLESS Tommy McLin, her soul mate is with her. We are quite sure that Kasey wouldn't survive without Tommy so they must be adopted as a pair..

Tom is a 2 year old Tabby. He does not like dogs but is ok with other cats. He is current on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. He needs an adopter willing to keep him on a special diet for urinary problems. ADOPTED Sept. 2026

Cortlan is the best cat a girl could ever hope for. I got her in November 2022 when a friend found a litter of kittens set out on the curb. My best friend has her brother! She is a lap cat and loves to snuggle and play. She currently lives with myself, my daughter, 2 dogs, and 2 cats and does not have any significant issues with them, though she would probably take a while to warm up to any big dogs. I am moving in with my grandmother to help take care of her and she is severely allergic to cats. While my mom and sister are each taking one of my other cats, no one I know has room for Cortlan. She is the sweetest cat I have ever met and I haven’t slept alone in 4 years because of her. I love her to pieces and it is killing me to rehome her, so I want to make sure she is going to a home where she would be happy and healthy.

Tulip and Flower are a special mother daughter duo who have become inseparable and are looking for a forever home together. 💕 Tulip was displaced by the tornadoes in Kentucky last year and gave birth to Flower and her siblings shortly afterward. A kind Samaritan cared for them until they came to us through our TNR partner, Spay Our Strays. These two are constantly cuddling, and Flower is especially attached to her mama. Tulip is the more confident of the pair and absolutely loves attention. She enjoys lounging around, getting pets, purring, and will even head butt you when you stop petting her to let you know she isn't finished yet! Flower is more reserved and takes much longer to warm up to people. Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys pets, playing, and doing zoomies around the room. She also loves nothing more than curling up with her mama. At just 11 months old, Flower is still very much a teenager and has plenty of playful kitten energy. Together, they balance each other beautifully. Tulip helps Flower feel safe and confident, while Flower brings out Tulip's playful side. They can often be found snuggled together in a cozy box or lounging side by side. Tulip and Flower will need to be adopted together. They are currently fostered at Fayette Veterinary Clinic in Lexington, where you can meet this adorable pair!
