Story
Bella is a 3 & Half year-old Tabby looking for a loving new home. She can be a little shy at first, but once she gets comfortable with you, she becomes a very loyal and affectionate companion who loves staying close to her person. Bella would do best in a patient, caring home where she can feel safe and loved. I wouldn’t even think of rehoming Bella but I’m relocating to Ohio. Bella has been a solo indoor cat, and has only lived with me. I’m unsure how she would act with other cats. She’s very playful, but unsure if that would translate. I would recommend not choosing Bella, if you have kids as she would do best in a quiet home.I love her to death and just want to make sure she ends up in a great home.If you have any questions feel free to reach out! Thanks.

Story
Meet Miss Bunny UPDATE: November She really does miss the other two. She is showing no signs of pain or difficulty, jumping or running. She likes to lay with me, especially in the evenings. Totally a snuggles cat. This fluffball, was found huddled soaking wet and cold in the rain at the very edge of a busy highway in Pulaski County. We surmise she hopped a ride under a car and fell out. But who knows? She can't tell us. What she does tell us is she is a loving girl who has some SPECIAL NEEDS. SPCHS is very picky about all adopters to ensure the best home for each animal in our care. But Bunny has a genetic issue with her spine, it seems there is extra space or a missing vertebra. This causes her gait to be more like a hop, but it doesn't slow her down. But she will have to be watched for deterioration and perhaps limited on big jumps. She quite possibly will need pain medication thru out her life. Nothing slows her down currently playing full out with her foster siblings Sammie and Shade. Bunny is about 16 weeks and has had vaccines and flea/tick medication and wormed. Her adoption fee includes, combo testing, spaying and micro chip for ID. If you are interested in helping Bunny with her forever home fill out the SPCHS application.

Story
Cutie Pie Moore came to the Humane Society with a horribly injured leg. It is believed that the leg was caught in a coyote trap but Cutie managed to pull loose. But in doing so the skin and fur was peeled back and all the tendons were torn and non repairable. The correct choice to allow her to heal was to amputate the leg. Surgery was successful and Cutie Pie is recovering well. She is such a sweet cat, fully of love and purrs despite the horror and pain she endured. We need a foster home and eventurally an adopter for this special survivor feline who truly adorable. Due to her limitations and fear of dogs, we prefer only homes iwth older children over 8 years old and NO dogs. Please fill out applications found at www.bhumane.org

Story
This is Scoots! A neutered male. He is just under 4 years old. Currently no health issues or allergies. Can be anxious when being vetted. He prefers to run instead of bite or anything like that. Enjoys when he can have his own space, as long as it can be close to you! Loves attention but not too much affection. Not super active. Tolerant of dogs and older children. Unknown with younger kids. Unknown with other cats. Tolerates baths fairly well.

Story
Meet Mr. Golly, a gentle and precious boy with a heart as soft as his purr. He came to the rescue after surviving an unthinkable start—being thrown from a car and needing his jaw repaired—but despite everything he’s been through, Mr. Golly remains gentle and calm. He can be a little shy and often prefers the safety of his cozy hidey holes, especially at first, but when it’s time to play or when gentle hands reach out to him, his true personality shines. His foster parents have been working on his socialization. With gentle whispers, soft pets, and Churu he is learning that not all humans are bad. Mr. Golly’s personality would truly shine with a confident feline companion. He is currently residing with one of our other adoptable kittens, Fred. They would be a great duo together in a forever home, but it is not necessary. This shy boy absolutely loves his feline companions; he will play, wrestle, and zoom with them for as long as he can. This adorable boy is looking for a home that is willing to help him navigate the hardships he has been through. He deserves a gentle and nurturing hand that will continue to remind him that not all humans are out to hurt him. Bonus if you are looking to adopt a pair from us or you have a confident resident kitty! Mr. Golly is neutered, up to date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV tested negative, and microchipped with lifetime registration. His estimated birthday is 6/3/2025.
