Story
Diesel came up to one of our foster families crying at a gas station. His tail was severely damaged and infected. He picked the right people to help him. He has required a couple vet visits, the tail although we tried to save it had to be amputated but now he has almost completed his recovery. HE will be available for adoption after Nov 15th! He is extremely thankful, sweet and playful. He has shown no signs of health issues and has kept his love for people in spite of whatever happened to him before he cried out for help. We marked special needs due to he MAY experience some balance issues due to a very short tail. He must be an indoor cat Only! We will be updating his pictures showing more fur after his stitches are removed. He is in a home with a cat friendly dog and cats. He loves them all. We will send out applications before Nov 15th if you are interested. His adoption fee is $50. Please email us at info@clarkcountycares.com

Story
Cutie Pie Moore came to the Humane Society with a horribly injured leg. It is believed that the leg was caught in a coyote trap but Cutie managed to pull loose. But in doing so the skin and fur was peeled back and all the tendons were torn and non repairable. The correct choice to allow her to heal was to amputate the leg. Surgery was successful and Cutie Pie is recovering well. She is such a sweet cat, fully of love and purrs despite the horror and pain she endured. We need a foster home and eventurally an adopter for this special survivor feline who truly adorable. Please fill out applications found at www.bhumane.org

Story
Meet Miss Bunny UPDATE: November She really does miss the other two. She is showing no signs of pain or difficulty, jumping or running. She likes to lay with me, especially in the evenings. Totally a snuggles cat. This fluffball, was found huddled soaking wet and cold in the rain at the very edge of a busy highway in Pulaski County. We surmise she hopped a ride under a car and fell out. But who knows? She can't tell us. What she does tell us is she is a loving girl who has some SPECIAL NEEDS. SPCHS is very picky about all adopters to ensure the best home for each animal in our care. But Bunny has a genetic issue with her spine, it seems there is extra space or a missing vertebra. This causes her gait to be more like a hop, but it doesn't slow her down. But she will have to be watched for deterioration and perhaps limited on big jumps. She quite possibly will need pain medication thru out her life. Nothing slows her down currently playing full out with her foster siblings Sammie and Shade. Bunny is about 16 weeks and has had vaccines and flea/tick medication and wormed. Her adoption fee includes, combo testing, spaying and micro chip for ID. If you are interested in helping Bunny with her forever home fill out the SPCHS application.

Story
Sammy is a sweetheart. He is definitely a lap cat. He gets a little jealous when another cat wants attention because he wants you all to himself. Sammy is a calm boy considering his young age of being 1 year old . He would rather lay in your lap then anything else. Sammy is combo tested and neutered, shots, flea/ wormed and microchipped . Sammy is just precious but likes all the attention. If your wanting a loveable lap laying calm boy Sammy would be perfect.

Story
Meet Bean 🐾 This sweet boy has been with us as a foster for a couple months now. We call him Baby Boy or Baby Bean (or Bean for short). Bean is a sweet and snuggly kitten who will melt your heart. He loves curling up in anyone’s lap, making biscuits on soft blankets, and even tucking himself into your neck for extra cuddles. Playtime is one of his favorite things— especially when it involves his Squishville toys! Bean does wonderful with both cats and dogs and would thrive in a home where he has a furry friend to keep him company. Because he loves the comfort and safety of being inside, Bean is looking for a forever family who will keep him as a 100% indoor kitty. If you’re looking for a little shadow who adores being held, snuggled, and loved, Bean is ready to be your perfect companion. 💕 $75 adoption fee covers neuter, vaccines, and microchip https://www.blackcatanimalrescue.org/adoption-applications
