Story
Meet Dominique!Dominique is a sweet, sensitive girl who likes to take her time getting to know new people and surroundings. While she may seem a little reserved at first, underneath that cautious exterior is a cat who wants to feel safe, loved, and understood.Like many cats, Dominique can get overstimulated during petting or excitement and may give a quick swat when she`s had enough. It`s not meant to be unkind, it`s simply her way of saying, `I need a little break.` A family that pays attention to her cues and respects her boundaries will help her feel secure and allow her confidence to blossom.Dominique would likely do best with older, respectful children who can appreciate her gentle nature and understand that she prefers a slower approach. We don`t yet know how she feels about other cats or dogs, so any introductions should be gradual and thoughtful, giving everyone time to adjust comfortably. If you have a calm home, a patient heart, and room for a cat who will grow to trust you at her own pace, Dominique may be just the companion you`ve been looking for. Watching her come out of her shell and knowing you`ve earned her trust is sure to be something special.

Story
If Sandy could introduce herself, she`d probably have a lot to say, and she`d say it loudly. This vocal girl isn`t shy about sharing her opinions, especially when she`s feeling overwhelmed. New people, new places, and new experiences can be a lot for Sandy, and she`ll let you know when she needs a little extra space. But don`t mistake her caution for unfriendliness. Beneath that hesitant exterior is a sweet cat who simply likes to take things at her own pace. Once she has time to settle in and learn that you`re someone she can trust, Sandy begins to show her softer side. Because she can be sensitive to overstimulation, Sandy would do best with people who understand and respect feline boundaries. She may be able to live with children, cats, and dogs given slow introductions and good judgment, but she would be happiest with respectful kids and cat-savvy animal companions who can appreciate her need for personal space. Sandy isn`t looking for someone to rush her. She`s looking for someone who understands that the best friendships sometimes take a little time. Give her patience, listen to what she`s trying to tell you, and you`ll discover a sweet companion whose trust is well worth earning.

Story
Meet Wednesday! Like her namesake, Wednesday has mastered the art of the dramatic stare. With her striking black-and-white coat and serious expression, she gives off major Wednesday Addams vibes but underneath that mysterious exterior is a sweet cat who`s just trying to navigate a very overwhelming situation. Shelter life hasn`t been Wednesday`s favorite chapter. New sights, sounds, and strangers have left her feeling anxious and unsure, so she`s currently keeping her circle small and her personal bubble firmly intact. But don`t let her reserved demeanor fool you. In a home, where she can settle in at her own pace, Wednesday has shown that she`s capable of being a loving and affectionate companion. Now, every diva has standards, and Wednesday is no exception. She has made it very clear that female cats are not on her guest list, but she may be willing to share her kingdom with a respectful male cat. Small dogs are acceptable subjects as well, though large dogs are simply far too intimidating for a lady of her stature. Wednesday can also do well with respectful children who understand that trust takes time. While she may be shy at first, once she feels safe and comfortable, she absolutely adores kids and enjoys being part of the family. Wednesday isn`t looking for a home that expects instant cuddles and endless confidence on day one. She`s looking for someone who will give her patience, understanding, and the chance to bloom at her own speed. Earn her trust, and you`ll discover that beneath the spooky, mysterious exterior is a very sweet girl who`s been waiting for the right person all along.
