Story
Meet Princess and Pea, a delightful mother-daughter duo ready to fill your home with love and joy!Princess is the sweet, friendly soul of the pair who adores nothing more than cuddling up and sharing her warmth. Her gentle nature and affectionate spirit make her the perfect companion for cozy evenings and quiet moments.Pea, on the other hand, is a bundle of joy! This playful little explorer is always ready for adventure, and her infectious energy is sure to bring a smile to your face. Born at the shelter, Pea has been raised here and is eager to find a forever home where she can continue to grow and thrive. Both Princess and Pea are social, playful, and affectionate cats who are sure to enrich your life. However, Pea was born with a rib cage deformity that doesn’t slow her down but does require some extra care. To ensure she continues to thrive, we ask that adopters already have a veterinarian established for her ongoing monitoring. While they’re both great with people, we recommend a home without young children, as Pea needs to be handled with care for her well-being. We think it’s best for them to start off as the only cats in the home until they settle in and Pea has the chance to fully blossom into her wonderful self. If there are dogs in the household, they should be cat-savvy, and slow introductions will be key.If you’re looking for a loving, playful pair to brighten your days, Princess and Pea are ready to bring their warmth and joy into your life!

Story
Meet Baby, a little lady who’s ready to find a peaceful, loving home. When she first arrived at the shelter as a stray, she required immediate medical care, and our dedicated team got her back on track, helping her feel her best. Baby sometimes finds the shelter’s hustle and bustle overwhelming and often retreats to her cozy cubby for a bit of peace. But once she has time to warm up, this sweet girl reveals her affectionate side and truly enjoys quiet snuggles.Baby has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus, so she’ll need to be the only cat in her home—unless her new feline friend is also FeLV+. Because of her special needs, her new family should have an established relationship with a veterinarian. We also recommend using “good judgment” when introducing her to respectful kids and cat-savvy dogs. If you`re looking for a gentle, devoted companion, Baby may be the one for you!

Story
`Hello, I`m Hephaestus. I was a bit shy during my start at BHS, but now that I`ve settled in, I`m all purrs and cuddles! I`ve learned to decompress after living outdoors, and am ready for the spoiled house cat life!`Hephaestus has feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV+) and would only be able to live in a home with other FIV+ cats or be the sole king of the household. Hephaestus` delightful personality will fill your home with love and laughter. We recommend using `good judgment` when introducing him to respectful kids and cat-savvy dogs. Adopters must establish a vet relationship to keep him healthy and happy. If you are interested in meeting with him, stop by BHS!

Cobra and Anaconda are a bonded pair looking to go home together! We are recommending them go to a laid back home and have the potential to go with older kiddos who can respect their space when needed. They are considered `good judgment` with other feline friends and calm cat-savvy dogs. While this duo may not be the first to welcome you with open paws, it`s essential to understand that they are navigating a world filled with unfamiliar faces and constant commotion. Their reserved demeanor is a way of coping with the stress of shelter life. Anaconda has made remarkable strides becoming more comfortable with humans and Cobra is sure to follow along with time and patience. If you`re open to take on the work of winning over these little rascals, you will find yourself with lifelong companions.

We are recommending them go to a laid back home and have the potential to go with older kiddos who can respect their space when needed. They are considered `good judgment` with other feline friends and calm cat-savvy dogs. Anaconda and Cobra came to BHS as very scared strays and have made fantastic strides in socialization. Though they can be shy to start, they greet the staff and volunteers with loud purrs and enjoy receiving attention once comfortable. If you`re open to take on the work of winning over these little rascals, you will find yourself with lifelong companions.
