Tabby kittens & cats in Dowagiac, Michigan

3 1/2 years ago, we inherited 23 barn cats and it is taken us all this time to capture spay and neuter all cats. The remaining was a female who gave us nine kittens in the last six months. This kitten is eight weeks old, fully weaned. Mom has taught the kittens how to be feral and they will require some additional work. We are working with them and we have just recently been able to pet their heads. We have not been able to pick them up yet to see what sex they are so we are unsure if this kitten is male or female, but unknown was not an option to post on this site we would really like someone experienced to give them the time that they need.

The hardest female to capture we have a few kittens remaining that we would really like to find homes for. The Mom is incredibly feral. The kittens are fully weaned and we have them separated from Mom. We are working with them as Mom has taught them to hiss at us. We are unsure of the sex because we have yet to be able to pick them up. We are able to pet their heads and that is it for now when we enter the room they are not running and hiding, but watching us intently. They will need some extra care to undo the mothers feral behavior.

About 2 months ago I found this kitten. There were 2 but it looks like an animal had gotten the other one so, after watching for an hour, I brought him in the house. I bottle fed him for about 5 weeks. Now, he eats canned food and some dry food. My dog doesn't like cats and so, he's been living in a bedroom. He needs someone whose willing to play with him. He has a lot of energy. I put my dog away an hour everyday and Everest races around the house. He's in desperate need of toys and a owner with the energy to match. He's going through a phase where he likes to attack our ankles. While, it's pretty darn cute, I wouldn't suggest him for a person unsteady on their feet.

I feed the neighborhood cats. This one was abandoned by momma. I have a dog that isn't good with cats. . I've been bottle feeding him for maybe a month but he's starting to eat hard food. He's super sweet. He likes to play and be held.

Polly came into my life during a difficult time and has been a wonderful companion! She is six years old and keeps getting sweeter and more social as she ages. All she wants is to be pet and loved…she will love you right back. It breaks my heart to be searching for a new home for her. My daughter is 10 months old and has been having severe allergy symptoms from the kitty. We have explored many different set ups for our home to keep Polly but it is resulting in her being in a space alone and not getting the love she deserves and needs. Polly has shown no behavioral issues since I’ve owned her these past 6 years. She has been around children and has done very well. It has been a few years since she has been around dogs or other cats. She did well at that time and I don’t have concerns with her being in a home with other pets as long as they are slowly introduced. This girl will warm your heart and give you all the cuddles you want!

Ozzy is such a sweet boy. He is more timid, and a bit of a scardy cat but he loves attention and cuddling. Once he opens up he has quite the sweet personality.I have to rehome him since I’m moving and landlord won’t let me have cats. He also get along well with my other cat.

This is Tiny. She is 4 years old. (Born the summer of 2022). We got her from the "Baby Barn" at our county fair. We named her Jazmine, but she was so "Tiny" the nickname stuck.We had another cat that Tiny loved to curt up with, but she was 18 years old and sadly recently passed. We also had a dog in the house at times and was fine. If there are new people around she will likely hide for a few hours but she warms up and will enjoy curling up on your lap and sleeping at the foot of your bed.She will at times flop on the ground in front of you letting you know she wants belly rubs. If you have a cat tree that overlooks a window, she’ll be very happy! Something she does that’s cute is she goes up to a window and paws at it.She has all of her claws. When she starts to act like she’s going to claw at something, you’ll know it’s time to trim them. Then no more clawing. I am moving and unfortunately I can't take her with me. She is such a sweetheart and her markings are gorgeous!
