Story
Rowdy is a very loving, friendly cat. His nickname is Cuddles because he loves attention and cuddling so much. He’s a well-behaved cat but can occasionally get into some mischief, like stealing our food if we’re not looking. Him and his sister Teyla were our original babies, but now we have human children, and our latest one is unfortunately allergic to cats, so we’re looking to rehome them (preferably together) to live out their senior days in a place that will love them as much as we do.

Story
We have had Mr. Tickles for about 2 months. He was found abandoned in a parking lot and we took him home. He seemed to already be trained, knew right away where the litter box was and how to use it. As for age we were told by a vet that he’s about 12 to 14 weeks old (as of July 2026). Unknown to us at the time, one of our kids is allergic to cats. We have been trying to make it work but don’t think daily allergy meds are a good idea. So we are now looking to rehome our beloved cat. He is playful, full of energy and also likes to cuddle when he’s sleepy. He gets along with new people very quickly as we did have him be pet-sittted for a couple weeks due to travel.

Story
Josefina is 14.5 years old with a clean bill of health and a love of all the pets and snuggles she can get. She grew up in as an indoor only cat, with other cats and dogs in the home but she mostly sticks to herself and to her human. She is a sassy girl who loves curling up with her people, especially at nighttime. She also has the cutest meow! She is a sweet girl who would love a quiet home that can give her adequate attention in her final years. There’s nothing she loves more than a good snuggle session with lots of kisses on her head!

Story
👑 Dear Gentle Readers, 👑 Allow us to introduce the most eligible bachelor of the season: Benedict. Named after Benedict Bridgerton himself, this charming tabby kitten possesses all the qualities one could desire in a gentleman companion—handsome looks, a playful spirit, endless curiosity, and a heart full of affection. Yet despite his many admirable qualities, Benedict remains the last kitten of his litter still searching for his forever home. As Lady Whistledown herself might say, it is quite the scandal that this delightful young gentleman remains unclaimed. Benedict is about 3 months old and he’s located in a foster home in Central Ohio. If you can’t adopt, PLEASE share this post to help him find a forever home! After all, every Bridgerton deserves a happy ending. 🐾❤️ Because kittens thrive with companionship and learn important social skills from other young cats, Benedict must be adopted with another kitten or into a home that already has a young, playful cat or kitten resident. 🐈🐈‍⬛ Benedict has tested negative for FIV and FeLV (Feline Leukemia), and he has received initial vaccinations. His adoption fee includes neutering and microchipping too. 💉 🚨 Note that adopters MUST have a history with a veterinary clinic that can be verified, and an application MUST be submitted prior to arranging a meeting. 💻 If you're located in Ohio, and you're interested in meeting/adopting Benedict, submit an application via our website. 🐾 Applicants can also request to foster-to-adopt (meaning a cat can be fostered on a trial basis before making a decision to adopt). 📧 Email us with any questions at contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com

Story
Meet the big and beautiful Holt! After originally being rescued from a hoarding situation and then getting adopted from us back in 2020, Holt's owner unfortunately passed away, and she ended up back at the shelter four years later in 2024. After spending 6 long months here, Holt had a second chance at a forever home and was readopted in December of 2024. Unfortunately, just over a year after she made it to her new home, her new owner ended up in an assisted living facility and devastatingly had to leave Holt behind. So that's how Holt ended up at the shelter again. We are sure that she'll be able to open up her heart to another family one more time so she can live out the rest of her golden years. She definitely deserves it! Holt is a couch potato. She spends most of her days sleeping, curled up in a nice and cushiony cat bed. She would enjoy having one or two to sleep on in her new home...But we think that YOUR bed would soon become her favorite! Her previous owner's family expressed that all she loved to do everyday was lay next to and sleep with her favorite person. She prefers head and ear scratches rather than back scratches. Even though Holt is a bit lazy... We have seen her playing with a ball track toy that spins, as well as a fun dangling wand toy. She still has some youthful energy left in her yet! Another thing that Holt loves: FOOD! She gets excited and starts meowing for her tasty food and lickable treat snacks. Holt likes her solidarity away from other cats as well as dogs. We think the best type of home for her would be one where she is the only pet. Come by the Humane Society to meet sweet old lady Holt!

Story
Millie and Maxine are sweet sisters who truly enjoy each other’s company and get along wonderfully together, as well as with other cats. Both girls are very sweet and seem to enjoy attention, but they are still a bit timid in the shelter environment. Maxine tends to be the more shy and apprehensive of the two when it comes to receiving pets — though that certainly doesn’t stop her from politely asking for them. Millie is beginning to blossom and will come out of her hidey hole when things are quiet enough, even following you around for attention. We believe these lovely girls would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a patient and understanding adopter who will give them time to settle in and build confidence. With love and consistency, we’re sure they will grow into the sweetest companions. If you’re looking for gentle, loving girls who just need a little time to shine, you can meet Millie and Maxine at the Humane Society of Delaware County!
