Story
Meet the beautiful Britannia! She has been patiently waiting for her purrfect new home for a while now. Britannia was brought in with a litter of four kittens, all four of which have been adopted. She had a bad upper respiratory infection that took prolonged care and medication. But thanks to that, Britannia is feeling much better and is brighter and happier! Even from her first being here, Britannia has always been very sweet and attention seeking. She loves to have her head pet and scratched the most. She'll let you know when she wants more attention; if you stop petting her, she'll reach her paw out and guide your hand back to her! Britannia's favorite toys are the ones shaped like mice. She could bat and chase them around for hours! Not only does she enjoy the company of humans, but she also feels the same about other cats. Britannia has been seen hanging out with a couple other feline friends in the room, playing with a couple of them too. On nice and sunny days, Britannia likes to spend a lot of time outside on our enclosed catio to soak up some sunshine. Come by the Humane Society to meet Britannia!

Story
Meet Fiona: a fantastic furry friend who is waiting for her new forever home! She's looking forward to curling up with her new family this winter. She's very affectionate and eager to get attention. Fiona is outgoing and confident, even in a new environment. She's very friendly and easily approaches people to seek pets. She's sadly not so friendly toward other feline pals, so she would prefer to be the only cat in the home! That way she can rule the roost and be truly pampered and spoiled. She doesn't like to fight for attention! Fiona wants to be her new family's number one. Come by the Humane Society to meet fabulous Fiona!

Story
Meet the stupendous Skelly! Believe us when we say that he's just about the sweetest kitty ever! He was originally brought to us from one of our TNR colonies, which is usually used to spay/neuter and release colony feral cats. Skelly is far from feral: he's extremely friendly! We just had to keep him at the shelter and make sure he was adopted into a home that's just as loving as he is. Skelly will accept attention from anyone, no matter what your age is. He has a loud and rumbly purr that can be heard from across the room! He makes an adorably silly face when he gets his head scratched. Skelly would make the perfect cat for someone who's looking for a new cuddly companion. One who will follow you around the room with his tail up and come running to you when he sees you! He gets along well with other cats, too! Skelly is FIV+, which in short means his immune system is not as strong as cats without FIV. He can coexist with an equally human and feline friendly cat that doesn't have FIV, as long as they get along well. He could also be adopted into a home that already has a FIV+ feline friend! (If you have questions about FIV, don't hesitate to ask a staff member). Skelly is sure to adapt well regardless and will be happy as long as he gets loved on. Come by the Humane Society to meet Skelly!

Story
Meet the sweet and mild-mannered Blaze! This black beauty was brought into the shelter along with several other cats. He has no issue with other feline friends, new or old! Blaze is the strong but silent type: he quietly and politely asks for attention. He's on the cautious side, so loud and sudden noises or crowded spaces can spook him. It's understandable, Blaze. A lot of cats and humans don't like those things either! He would like to be adopted into a calm adult-only home with people who are experienced with cat behavior. Just like many of us, Blaze wants his feelings to be understood and validated! Blaze's favorite places to sleep are enclosed spaces, so having a big cozy hut bed or cat trees with huts would be very appreciated! He's laid-back, not too much of an energetic guy. He would make a good couch buddy, whether you're watching TV or curled up with a good book! Blaze is pretty quiet, he doesn't meow much, but when he starts to get pet, you can definitely hear his purr motor going! He loves cheek and chin scratches. Come by to meet the lovely Blaze!

Story
Due to mental health issues this past year, Robert is not getting the love that he needs. Everything that I used to care for is being neglected. My beloved goldfish, my plants (my plants were my friends & died). I'm struggling to care for myself and navigate parenthood. Robbie is affectionate. You get a mixed bag with him. He likes bird watching, sleeping, and playing. He plays rough but that can be mostly avoided by using a toy on a string rather than your hand. He thinks he's a tiger. Not violent but rough. I would say no toddlers or very elderly. He could adapt to older cats and possibly a kind dog. I prefer a 3 week fostering first. If he is not a fit, to be returned. He has no front claws so strictly indoors. He cared for well, but I do not pet him. I pay no attention to him. I just go through the motions of feeding, cleaning litter box, and vet care. He deserves unconditional love. Im not capable of that. I have trouble taking care of myself.
