Story
Meet Wanda IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WANDA, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Wanda was a young teenage kitten when we trapped her in a feral colony in Bethel Park. We had a cat experienced foster home willing to take her in as a foster and get her used to domestic life. It took months, but now she loves the indoors, and loves human affection and attention. She follows her foster mom, Emilie, around the house, “yelling” at her, and demanding pets and butt scratches. She also gets along well with the resident cats and dog, and you can often find her hanging out with the dog!

Story
This is Chonk. He is a 10 year old indoor cat. I’ve had him for 2 years and, unfortunately, can’t keep him anymore. He is such a sweet cat, loves cuddles, and gets along great with other animals and people. He is also declawed in his front paws (was already declawed when I got him) I’m looking for someone to give him the love and attention that he deserves.

Story
Stella is a 16 year old slightly large tabby cat. She has hyperthyroidism and eats a medicated dry food for it. She was rescued earlier in her life (approx 3 years old I believe) by college students from a shelter though the crowdedness and lifestyle in a house of college girls was overwhelming and she hid much of the time so one of the girls took her with her when she left. She stayed with that owner for about 7 years before being rehomed to me. Throughout her ownership I don’t believe she ever spent time with other cats or enjoyed being overcrowded. She thrives under consistent calm care a quiet lifestyle and took a few months for her to come out of her shell after she was last rehomed. She is more suited to a calm predictable lifestyle and doesn’t like to be around children much. She likes to stay lower and doesn’t climb much aside from couches and maybe a lower perch and therefore does well with houseplants up high. She can still be rather playful for her age but loves naps

Story
Meet Leo, a sweet 12-year-old senior cat looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. My siblings and I found him as a tiny stray kitten, and he’s been part of our family ever since. For most of his life, Leo lived with my dad. As my dad got older and could no longer care for him, I brought Leo into my home. Leo is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle, play, and be close to his people. Leo enjoys children but would do best in a quiet home with a senior, single adult, or couple where he can be the center of attention. I believe he may have age-related health issues that I can’t afford to address. He eats Orijen Original cat food, which helps him maintain his weight, and he does best with a very clean litter box and a consistent routine. This is an incredibly difficult decision, and my only wish is for Leo to spend the rest of his life loved, comfortable, and well cared for. Leo deserves a quiet home where he can be loved as someone’s whole world.

Story
This is Truffles, a one-year old girl who has the sweetest disposition. She was a stray that was trapped, but was way too nice to be put back outside. She is very affectionate and will jump right into your lap. She has no interest in toys, at least not yet. Truffles is also afraid of other cats, so she would prefer to be an only child.

Story
A Brave Survivor Seeking Her Quiet Forever SanctuaryJola Baby is a beautiful three-year-old soul who has overcome more in her short life than most cats ever face. After a difficult start surviving on her own and recovering from a serious injury, she has spent the last year and a half blossoming in a loving home.Because of her past, Jola is a "cat’s cat"—she is independent and values her personal space. She isn't looking for a constant cuddle-buddy, but rather a patient partner who understands that trust is earned and "petting time" is on her terms. Once she feels safe, her kind and loving side truly shines. Jola’s trauma has left her with a fierce protective streak, meaning she must be the only pet in the household. She is looking for a quiet, cat-savvy hero who can give her the peaceful, solo life she deserves.

Story
Diamond (5/18/22) was flown to Pet Search from St Thomas on the February 2024 transport. This little girl was living in the cat house at the shelter and was so afraid of everything. We chose her to fly to Pet Search to give her a chance to find a forever home. It took a little while for her to come out of her shell and enjoy being petted, but she now enjoys getting love. She can still be a little frightened of fast movements but has gone such a long way in a years time. Diamond is felv/fuv negative, vaccinated and spayed. She has been living with both with dogs and cats. Application found at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Cat

Story
Have you seen Jodi and Vienna yet? Don't let Jodi's size fool you, he is a shy and loving boy. Jodi and Vienna came with a transport rescue from St. Thomas; they took a long time to get used to their foster home. With patients and love Jodi has come out of his shell. Once Jodi feels safe will become a love bug. Vienna is still very shy but cannot get enough of his brother Jodi. Jodi loves his brothers and we think both will thrive in a calm home together. Both are neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, fiv/felv negative and flea treated. Would you be able to help make these boys feel safe?
