UPDATE 11/7/25
Dumpling has grown into a Velcro Kitty, a master biscuit-maker and nap buddy! She adores zooming with her foster siblings and would love to be adopted either with her foster sibling or into a home where there is another fur-friend to keep her company. Her right eye seems fully functional but remains a bit squinty and watery.
-------------------------
Dumpling was pulled from a rural rescue with severely infected eyes, almost certainly from the common feline rhino tracheitis respiratory virus. After a barrage of antibiotics, she has healed remarkably well, and the eye specialist confirmed she has vision in both eyes. Her left eye is normal, and her right eye has a cloudy spot that she can see around.
She is a typical kitten with a bit of a bratty side in that she does not want to be bothered when she is in full play mode! She adores playing with anything and everything, including her foster sister, Wonton, and is a champion snuggler. (The last photo is one from intake day. They came to LCAR together, but were not found together and are not littermates.) She is confident, and loves her 85-lb canine roomie.

Early applications for Dumpling are being accepted now.
If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $140 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend, so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary, so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.
Please email Lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
