Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Vincent — a handsome two-year-old brown tabby with a sleek short coat and an easygoing charm. While he may not have Jimmie’s fluff, Vincent more than makes up for it with his expressive eyes and warm, affectionate personality. Vincent shares a close bond with his best friend Jimmie, and the two have come a long way together. Once cared for outdoors by a kind family, they were given the chance at a better life—and Vincent has embraced indoor living like a pro. He’s comfortable, curious, and clearly enjoying all the perks of home life. Vincent can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and loves being part of the action once he feels secure. He’s great with other cats and does well with respectful, mindful children, making him a wonderful addition to a calm, loving home. You may notice Vincent’s unique ear—he has a small ear tip from an old injury, which just adds to his character and tells part of his story. It doesn’t bother him one bit and only makes him more unforgettable. Whether he’s lounging nearby or keeping you company throughout the day, Vincent is a loyal, gentle companion ready to find his forever home—ideally with his best buddy Jimmie by his side. Story
Meet Jules — a two-year-old brown tabby with a confident, outgoing personality and a heart full of charm! This handsome guy brings a fun, social energy wherever he goes and isn’t shy about making himself part of the action. Jules started his journey outdoors alongside other feline friends Vincent, Jimmie and Mia, where a kind family looked out for him. Thanks to their care—and a second chance at a better life—he’s made a smooth transition to indoor living and is clearly enjoying all the comforts of home. Currently in foster with Mia, Jules gets along well with other cats and truly thrives with feline companionship. While he and Mia are not bonded, Jules would do best in a home with another friendly cat to keep him company and share in his daily adventures. Confident and curious, Jules settles into new situations with ease and is always ready to explore, play, and interact. He does well with cat-savvy kids who understand how to respectfully engage with a spirited, social kitty like him. Whether he’s chasing toys, greeting you at the door, or hanging out nearby, Jules is a fun-loving companion who’s ready to bring energy, affection, and a little extra sparkle into his forever home. Marley is the ultimate lap cat who lives for cuddles and companionship. Whether you’re working, reading, or relaxing, he’ll be right there, purring away and soaking up every bit of affection. He hasn’t met dogs before, but his confident, easygoing nature suggests he could do just fine with a calm, cat-friendly pup after proper introductions. The same goes for gentle kids who know how to show love and respect to a furry friend. Story
Meet Foxy! 🦊😼 Foxy has the world’s most iconic resting grumpy face. He may look serious in photos, but don’t be fooled: underneath that expression is a total sweetheart with a heart of gold. Foxy is about 7 years old and spent much of his early life surviving outdoors. Those days are behind him now, and he has fully embraced the indoor life. Comfort, affection, and quality lap time are his new priorities — and he excels at all three! Once Foxy decides you’re safe (which usually takes less than a minute), he becomes an affectionate, people-loving companion who enjoys headbutts, attention, and being close to his humans. Despite his tough beginnings, Foxy is a social butterfly with other cats. He gets along well with friendly felines and would truly thrive in a home with another cat (or two!) to keep him company. He may also do well with a cat-savvy dog. While he hasn’t been tested with children, his gentle and affectionate nature suggests he could be a wonderful fit with respectful kids. Foxy is still discovering the joys of playtime and is beginning to show his playful side — it’s been a delight to watch his personality continue to bloom in foster care. One small but important note: Foxy has a chicken allergy and does great on a chicken-free diet. Easy fix, and he’s feeling fantastic! Foxy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, and he’s ready to start his next chapter in a loving home. If you’re looking for a charming, affectionate cat with loads of personality (and an unforgettable face), Foxy might just be your perfect match. 🧡 Apply today and come meet Foxy — he’s ready to win your heart! Story
Chanel is very affectionate and playful. She sits on your lap, comes when you call, loves playing games with you. She loves being chased. You can pick her up, roll her around, rub her belly, and she will never swipe. She allows baths, being brushed and having her nails cut. Great with kids. Chanel is litter-trained, will also go outside. She has only ever used the wood pellets. Traveled with her internationally and she did fine. When my baby nephew comes to visit, he will grab her fur or pat her head, and she just takes it and wanders around following him everywhere. Korean Shorthairs have personalities that are curious and high-energy and love people. Talkative, like a Siamese. Needs a home that has plenty of space, a family who does not mind her making noise. I socialized her well since she was a kitten. Chanel is really unlike any other cat I have met. She's the absolute sweetest. Cuddly, energetic and clever.

Story
⚡️ Meet Grey: The Handsome Boy with a Dynamic Spirit! Though his name is simple, Grey is anything but ordinary! This handsome boy is a charming, friendly, and spirited companion ready to bring a lively energy to your home. Grey is incredibly affectionate and easygoing, but when the mood strikes, he is an enthusiastic player who loves a good session of rough-and-tumble! He excels at wrestling and chasing, often engaging in lively antics with his larger foster brother who perfectly matches his energy. Important Playmate Note: Grey’s love for spirited play means he needs the right home environment. He would thrive best as a single cat, or in a home with another robust, confident feline who enjoys a good wrestling match. Timid or easily overwhelmed cats may find his energetic approach a bit too much! 🏡 Adaptable and Affectionate When the play session is over, Grey is remarkably mild-mannered and settles down quickly, proving he’s an adaptable companion. In fact, he's a pro at coexisting! Grey has happily shared his foster home with both large and small dogs, making him a great choice for a multi-pet household. If you appreciate a lively spirit and are ready for a fun, affectionate cat who’s both handsome and handy with dogs, Grey is ready to be your best friend!
