Story
Kitty Cat Lucy was adopted 3 years ago. From my understanding, her previous owner was placed in a living facility and people just visited and threw food to her. She wasn’t very well socialized. I adopted her and while she had some skidding moments, it was too bad until recently. She has attached me twice, once on my arm and once on my face. I was sleeping Sunday when she attacked my face so not sure what happened. But I can no longer keep her. She loves laser lights and bird toys. She can be playful and loving one minute and mean the next. But I think if she had a stable house (we’ve moved twice) and an owner who can guarantee no other animals, she’d be okay.

Story
Tabitha is a sweet girl. She was one of the most shy and anxious cats we've ever had, but now she comes up to play or receive pets whenever she sees us. She is used to being around other cats and is getting more social with people. She loves to play with her feather or with her balls or toy mice when she is alone. She is vaccinated and litterbox trained. She comes with a kennel, a bed, a litter box, toys, a water bowel, and a flea & tick treatment. She has no rehoming fees.

Story
Meet Kimiko!Kimiko is a 5-year-old female calico (Domestic Medium Hair) who was found as a stray in the city of Yakima. She’s still feeling a bit unsure with all the activity at the adoption center, but she has been gentle and easy to handle with YHS staff.Kimiko isn’t currently seeking out attention and prefers having a quiet place to observe from a safe distance. In a home environment, she will likely hide for a little while as she acclimates and would truly benefit from having a designated safe space where she can settle in at her own pace.Because she’s a sensitive soul, Kimiko would do best in a calm home without small, active children. With patience, understanding, and time, this sweet girl has the potential to blossom into a loving companion for someone who will let her move at her own comfort level. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal, please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Ready to adopt? Great news—our spayed/neutered pets are available to go home the same day!
