Story
Tom is the most loving male cat ever! He enjoys cuddles any chance he gets. He enjoys the outdoors & brings gifts!(if you know what I mean) Tom is playful, vocal at times, and sweet. He is a part time baker! (Enjoys making biscuits) Tom loves interaction with children and adults. I would say, he’s the perfect cat best friend!

Story
Rufus D Katz was born feral about 13 April 2025 along with brother Sweet Boy. Began feeding them mid-August and they moved into the house about 21October. Their father Dada D Katz wanders inside for breakfast, supper and kat nip snacks. Rufus seems happy—purrs a lot, rolls on the floor, walks around with tail at full mast. He’s extremely shy and reclusive but gets along great with Sweet Boy, two other rescue kittens and their mother. Rufus though is a victim of six too many katz where the landlord really doesn’t want any so I have to give away he and the two kittens. Story
Meet Tiger – Gentle, Loving, and Devoted Companion Tiger is a calm, affectionate male tabby with a quiet sweetness that makes him an instant heart-stealer. He’s one of four cats we’re currently fostering after stepping in to help a friend going through difficult life changes. While we’ve loved having him with us, we’re sadly unable to keep him long-term due to our limited space and home renovations. Tiger is incredibly loving—he enjoys gentle attention, quiet lap time, and the company of both people and other animals. He’s been respectful and easygoing around our dog and lives peacefully with several other cats. What makes Tiger truly special is his close bond with Maggie, his companion and best friend. They’re often found snuggled together or following each other around the house. Because of this strong connection, we’re hoping they can be adopted as a pair—they provide each other with comfort, confidence, and love. Please take a moment to read Maggie’s post too.

Story
Bert was surrendered after living on someone's property and is still adjusting to all the recent changes in his life. He's a scared little boy who hasn't had much human interaction yet, so everything feels new and overwhelming for him right now. Bert will need a patient, kind adopter who can give him time, understanding, and gentle reassurance as he learns what love and safety feel like. With patience and compassion, Bert has the potential to blossom in a calm, supportive home. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 4.22 Age: 0yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
Barn home needed! This cat has been evaluated for behavior and comfort level around humans and determined to be feral or semi-feral. Feral and semi-feral cats are fearful of humans and panic when confined, making placement into an indoor home stressful and upsetting for these individuals. They may have been outdoor cats in a previous home, strays who lived independently from humans, or some other history that makes close contact with humans troublesome. Rather, HSSC is pursuing an alternative outcome in which this cat can provide pest control for a barn, shed, shop, or something similar while a kind human provides shelter from harsh weather and a consistent source of food and water. With this arrangement, independent cats are able to live comfortably in a life that suits them, while community members can set aside their worries about pests! Primary Color: Grey Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.14 Age: 2yrs 0mths 0wks
