Practice makes perfect, and he is verrrrrry good at it- after all, it is his "safe space" while he tries to figure out how to navigate the many changes in his life. He is so very shy, but lots of humans are shy, too, and that doesn't make us ANY less lovable!!! It's true, I don't much like this cage sitch. It makes me cranky!!! I might even throw you some of my infamous SWATS!! Being a stray kitty was not my favorite thing ever. The good news is that I am now safe and warm and fed and have medical care if I need it, but I long for a nice homey place with a patient and loving and kind soul who will help me grow my brave! I used to tremble and shake cuz I was really scared here, but the volunteers have been incredibly sweet and patient and loving and they told me they will love me until my very special someone comes to adopt me and take me HOME!!!! I come from a home-raised litter of kittens, and we all were perfectly healthy since birth. I'm a small statured, all black kitty with white ear hairs. My coat is silky smooth I am a sort of wallflower and lap kitty. I hang with with my brother Mocha. The two of us are inseparable, and we have to be adopted together. The six other adult cats in my foster home are helping raise us: teaching, playing, and sleeping together. Some of them chase us around thru the whole house. The big cats all like me lots. I love to play with mousies and fuzzy balls and explore around. I can be found sometimes sleeping alone, or with my bestie Mocha. I love playing with toys and hiding them to find later. The most fun I have is running through the crinkle tubes with my buds and climbing on all the cat trees! Plus, sleeping in the sunshine or cuddled up on my blanket. We call out for each other when we can't find each other. I am rather talkative, and I have a cute squeal sometimes. I love to cuddle and snuggle too, once I get used to someone. I don't mess with drapes or the furniture because I have scratching posts and I don't mind getting my nails trimmed. Medli was adopted as a young cat into a family with mom and human sister. When she was a young adult, Chi was added to the family. Then, the world changed in 2020. Their mom has lost a couple of jobs, as well as homes. The two had been back at Purr-Fect Match for several months in temporary surrender while their mom got back on her feet, but after the loss of a second job, they were totally surrendered. Now they need to find their new forever home. In their time of foster care, it has become apparent that while it would be nice if they went together, it is not necessary for their happiness. Medli is a sweet and shy girl. She is timid and prone to hiding if startled, but don't let that fool you! Once she is in a quiet space and things have settled, she is a major cuddle bug.
