Miss Willow is about a year old. She is nicely sized at 43 pounds. We aren't certain of her breed, but she looks like she has some Australian Shepherd in her mix of breeds. She was surrendered to Lathrop Animal Services, who had her for a few weeks. She got along great with all the dogs and was the sweetest of all the dogs in their care. We have also seen the same with us. She has been vaccinated and microchipped and will be spayed as soon as possible. She will make someone a great companion. Meet Kruger. He is named after the amazing Kruger Foods company. They have sponsored him and covered all the medical costs for this great dog that was found on their property. When Kruger was found, his body told the story of a dog who had been on his own for far too long. He was thin and hungry, his coat was patchy, he had been eaten up by fleas, and several of his teeth were broken from scavenging just to survive. Despite everything he endured, Kruger never lost the quiet spark in his eyesthe one that said he still wanted to believe in people.Kruger is a middle-aged Australian Shepherd and Rottweiler mix (estimated at approximately 5 years old) with a gentle heart and a calm, soulful nature. Since coming into our care, hes started to healhis coat is now healthy, and hes learning that a kind touch means safety, not pain. He enjoys walks, soft beds, and quiet moments with the people here. Kruger has known hardship, but he hasnt given up on love. What he needs now is a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished for the rest of his life. This funny, playful pup is Rocko! He was born on April 12, 2025. His mom was a Hound and his dad was a Border Collie. He currently weighs 39 lbs. He came to us from his owner needing to be rehomed through no fault of his - they were relocating and landlord said no dogs. :( His previous owner made sure to let us know what a perfect companion he is, though. He is well-behaved, knowing basic commands such as "sit," and he's even housetrained with a dog door. No chewing or digging reported, but he's just a pup so it's important to keep up with his training and keep him busy so he doesn't start. We were told his favorite activities include playing with his ball and playing with other dog friends his size! He has good experiences with cats that he grew up with as well as children as young as 9. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, which will be registered to the new owner. $350 adoption fee for this cute, medium-sized boy. Apply for Rocko on our website www.petsnpals.org!
