Story
Hi, my name is Nana, and I’m five years old. I’m a very, very sweet girl, but I’m also pretty fearful and still learning to feel safe and confident. I’m working hard on my leash training. Right now, our walks look something like this: walk a few feet, stop, sniff… sniff… sniff… and when my foster mom says, “Ready, let’s go!” we walk a few more feet and repeat. I’m learning at my own pace, and I’m doing my best! My house training is coming along, too. I can be a little picky about my food and I don’t always drink my water. My foster mom tries all kinds of things to encourage me. She even makes me homemade meals, and I LOVE them! I’m just not a fan of blueberries, apples, or peanut butter. I know what I like! At night, I sleep with my foster mom and stay right beside her all night. Whenever she wakes up, I’m always ready for more love and cuddles. I LOVE being gently brushed, and I don’t even mind taking a bath. But don’t turn your back on me when I’m in the tub… because I might make my escape! 😂 I’m a sweet girl who is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. With patience, kindness, and lots of love, I’m hoping to find someone who will give me the time I need to blossom.If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. She is potty trained and enjoys playing in her backyard.
