Story
Im looking to re-home my 12 month old pup. He definitely has his behavior issues, he is a little food aggressive towards other male dogs, growls at my familys 2 other dogs when anyone is eating near him. Im also now having to move out and cannot find a place to stay that will allow me to bring him along. I truly believe that he can be a great pet and friend for someone who is wiling to take the time and give him the proper training and life he deserves. I am in desperate need of find a new home for Sozo as soon as possible. Im really trying to avoid giving him to an animal shelter because i know he truly deserves a good home and a great owner with time for him. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there... I'm Dixie. I'm quite literally the best girl, according to the staff and volunteers here at the rescue. About me: I LOVE the water—I could swim all day! I'm fully potty and house trained, and I'll even let you know when I need to go outside by crying at the door. I walk nicely on a leash and absolutely love playing fetch (at least until my age catches up with me!). I get along wonderfully with other dogs, know my name, and have excellent recall. Here at the rescue, I even enjoy off-leash walks because I stay close and always come back when I'm called. I am a quiet, gentle soul looking for a forever home to call my own. While I may be a little older, I still enjoy playing with my toys and spending time with other dogs when the mood strikes. My journey here has been quite the adventure. During a big storm, the local fire department found me in the water and brought me to the rescue. They later realized they had actually been trying to catch me for months, believing I was a stray. But it turns out I wasn't always on my own. I once had a loving owner, but after he passed away, I was given away because his mother was no longer able to care for me due to her own health challenges. I'm already spayed, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested (positive for heartworm), and up to date on my ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. I am heartworm positive right now, but I’ve already started treatment. I’ve been on antibiotics and am going through the ProHeart 12 protocol approved by the American Heartworm Society. The good news is that with this treatment, I should test negative in about 8–10 months. My adoption fee is $250, and you can apply to adopt me at www.adoggie4you.org. I'm currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Due to state regulations, I cannot be transported to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 19, 2026, 10:56 pm

Story
Meet the Noise Maker Litter! These pups, named after loud noise makers, are small, adorable and hilariously fun! Born 7/14/26, these pups are currently weighing about 6-8lbs each. Mom is a smaller Australian Shepherd Mix, but dad is unknown, so these puppies’ breeds and adult size are a little bit of a mystery! What we do know that these pups are friendly, social, adorable and ready for their forever homes! In their foster homes, they have been exposed to other dogs, fellow foster kittens, lots of adult admirers and a bunch of neighborhood kids! They have done well with everyone they have met. While they are not potty trained, they are showing a lot of interest in using their puppy pads, so their foster family is confident they will be quick learners once they are in their own routines in their forever homes. They love to run and play and would thrive with active families! These adorable little noise makers are ready to find families of their own! If these pups seem like they’d be a good fit for your family - apply today! Their adoption fees are $400. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
