Name: Remus Age: 6 Cats: NO Dogs: Yes, with proper introduction. Kids: I wouldn’t Personality: Goofy, smart, active, stubborn, cuddle bug. He has severe separation anxiety. He’s not destructive but he does sing the song of his people when left alone. I got him from a family who worked from home but needed to rehome him because he was “herding” their children. The reason I’m trying to find him a home is because I work full time onsite as well as go to school and am not home as much as he needs me to be. He’s a really sweet dog and I wish my situation was different but it is time this guy finally gets the life he deserves.

Story
Looking for a loving forever home for Mickey! Mickey has been in my foster care for 6 months now. He is a 16 month old Australian Shepherd and I rescued him from very neglectful living conditions for the first 10 months of his life. Mickey is an extremely smart, energetic, and loyal boy and needs a home that is willing to spend some time on training and patiently work with him to help him reach his fullest potential. He is crate trained, housebroken, neutered, and up to date on vaccines and boosters with records. He is also on monthly heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention. Mikey is on anxiety medication that he takes each morning to help him adjust to new things and transitions, and he's doing great on it! He has only been around two other dogs in his life, his brother and our 10 year old mixed breed. Due to his need for training and lack of socialization, he would do best being the only dog, in an active family! Mickey has some struggles with reactivity, and is fearful of new situations and people. I have had him evaluated by a professional trainer, and it is recommended that he spend time in training (potentially a board and train) to help correct some of his fear issues. He is a super sweet boy, but does not enjoy when people come over, so he will need training on those situations. I am more than happy to work with whoever is committed to adopting him and has the time, on choosing the best trainer, and I will also help with the cost of those services. Mickey loves his family. He loves to play ball, run around outside (he will need a fenced in yard), snuggle as if he's a small lap dog, and be on watch. He takes a bit to warm up to people, so patience is key, but once he does, he is like velcro! Mickey has done great with our 4 & 6 year old children, but will ultimately do best in a home without children since their energy is more stressful for him. I highly recommend that his forever family start him out with professional training to help him be the best he can be. He has been to the vet, on walks, had clicker training sessions (loves food so training is easy!), and each time he does better. He is a working breed, and he wants to please, but he needs someone with patience, consistency, and love. Professional training will be most helpful in everyday commands, but also to socialize him and work on reactivity. Mickey has A TON of potential and will be a wonderful family dog, but he needs a serious and willing owner to be dedicate in solid training and loads of love! Please reach out with any questions, I am happy to answer! If you are interested in adopting Mikey please fill out the below adoption application. The adoption fee will be $200 total. If you have question, please reach out to Kristin at Kdgrace22@hotmail.com Adoption application: https://www.shelteredpaws.com/adoption Click on the light blue rectangle that says “adoption application”

Story
Meet Riley! Riley is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd weighting just under 34 pounds. Riley is a typically Aussie- always up for an adventure and happy to be around you! Riley loves going outside, going for car rides, and hanging out with her foster mom. She will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation (she loves her puzzle feeder!) Riley loves everyone she's met and loves when they tell her she's a pretty girl! Her foster family is unsure how she would do with cats or other dogs, but would likely enjoy another high energy play mate. Bring any current dogs with you to meet her so we can make sure they're friends! Riley enjoys hiking, swimming, and playing fetch. Even better, she's potty trained already! We think she would love a professional training class or dog sport to redirect her energy and appeal to her inner working dog. If you are an active, fun loving human, and looking for a constant companion to be on the go with, apply for Riley today! Her adoption fee is $275. To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
In search of a serial kisser, the best kind of serial out there, right? Well then I, Mandy, am the dog for you! I'm a mix of awesomeness and 5 years old. I can be laid back and chill or a bouncing ball of joy! I love walks and jogs, with you of course. I also love playing with other dogs. I love it so much, I prefer playing with other dogs over playing with toys. Something else I love, sunbathing! Does your couch have the perfect spot to lay and catch rays? Well then I should absolutely be laying there. I really enjoy laying around, like under tables. Dinner time? I'm under that table. Working at your desk? I'm laying under that too. You laying in bed? Guess what. I'm there too. I'm all about my people and if you adopt me then I'll be all about you! Mandy is a 5 year old mix. She is good with other dogs and kids (works best with submissive/non-dominant dogs). She is crate trained and potty trained with a doggy door. She knows the commands to go to her crate and to sit. She eats her meals in her crate and will routinely relax in it during the day. She loves food and will steal any if you're not watching. She will do best in a yard that has a secured bottom. ***Mandy has EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) which basically means, my pancreas has not been producing the yummy enzymes I need to adequately digest my food. Because my rescuers were SO astute and proactive, they figured it out (with help of the vet, of course). I will require a certain diet and supplement, highly digestible and low fat foods along with a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement. Basically, every meal I get an appetizer and entree. Easy pleasy. EPI does not necessarily require "prescription" food, and Mandy has drastically improved since the Pancreatic Enzymes added to her diet*** She will need enzymes for life, however, you will get serial kisses day in and day out too.... a great trade off :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Beni is a little over 3 years old, he is a border collie/beagle mix. Beni is house/crate trained and is full of energy. He was originally adopted into a 2 parent home and we were able to spend plenty of time with him and make sure he was living his best life, unfortunately due to life circumstances he is now solely living with me and as a working full time mom it has been a struggle with time to give Beni all he deserves. He is very playful, he has been around other dogs at the dog park and does well. He has not lived with another dog or cat. He is good with children, however he does get excited. It’s very hard to come to this conclusion but he deserves more than I am able to provide. He loves walks and the dog park and is a great cuddler. Asking $50 donation to Cincinnati Animal CARE to ensure he goes go a good home. He will come with large crate and his harness and food if needed.

Twister is a good dog, loyal and protective. Lots of energy, loves to be outside and go on walks. He and his sister coco play together all day. Unfortunately, he has bit our toddler a few times, thinking he is playing. Since out daughter has special needs, we cannot explain to her how to play properly with Twister. He does well with children a little older, as he is best friends with our 11 year old son. He really is a good dog, and I don't want to rehome him, but we have to for our daughter.
