WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌸🐾 Meet Patches — Nearly 9 Years of Pure, Gentle Devotion 🐾🌸 8 years old (Birthday 4/24/17) • ~30 lbs Patches is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the loudest in the room to be the most special. As she approaches her 9th birthday, she carries herself with the quiet confidence of a girl who knows exactly what she likes in life: A comfy couch. A warm lap (or at least a leg to lean on). And her person nearby. At around 30 pounds, Patches is the perfect “just right” size — big enough to feel substantial when she curls up beside you, small enough to fit perfectly tucked against your side. She is mostly a lap dog… or at least a “pressed firmly against your hip” dog. Personal space? Optional. Warmth and love? Required. She’s fully house trained, has lovely house manners, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. She’s been living in a home environment and fits right in like she’s always belonged there. Cats don’t bother her one bit — she’s far too dignified to get caught up in that drama. While she doesn’t spend her days bouncing around with toys or leading playgroups, that’s simply because Patches has mastered the art of peaceful companionship. She prefers quality cuddle time over chaos. She’s less “zoomies” and more “let’s sit together and solve the world’s problems.” Given her incredibly sweet and gentle nature, we believe she would do just fine with kind, respectful kiddos who understand that sometimes the best dogs are the calm, snuggly ones. Patches is at that beautiful stage of life where she’s past the puppy antics but still has so much love left to give. She gets excited when you come home, happily settles beside you on the couch, and simply wants to be near her person. No drama. No destruction. Just steady, loyal companionship. If you’re looking for: • A couch buddy • A lap warmer • A loyal shadow • A professional snuggler • A dog who believes every evening should end with cuddles Patches might just be your perfect match. She’s not asking for grand adventures or marathon hikes. She’s asking for love. For consistency. For a soft place to land for her golden years. And in return? She’ll give you the kind of quiet devotion that makes a house feel like home. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Patches the cozy, love-filled forever she so deserves 💛🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Lariet — The Helping Hand with the Golden Heart 🐾🌾 3 years old • 40 lbs • Australian Shepherd Mix With a name like Lariet (another word for lasso), it’s only fitting that this boy is perfectly suited for being your right hand man — steady, dependable, and always ready to “rope in” whatever the day brings. At 3 years old and 40 pounds, Lariet is the kind of dog people hope for but rarely find. In fact, he’s probably one of the best dogs on the ranch right now — and that’s saying something. His personality is so much like an Australian Shepherd — loyal, level-headed, and deeply devoted to his person. He doesn’t bring chaos… he brings calm confidence. Lariet has become the trusted sidekick for daily ranch routines. He goes feeding with Tisha and Carolyn, happily loading up in the truck without hesitation. Sightseeing adventure? He’s ready. Feed run? He’s already waiting politely. He comes when called — every time — even off leash and from a distance. No hesitation. No drama. Just a solid, reliable “Yep, I’m on my way.” That kind of recall is pure gold. He comes with a respectful resume: • Walks beautifully off-leash • Returns immediately when called • Gets along great with other dogs • Has not bothered the horses • Loads up easily for rides • Minds exceptionally well • Is up to date on vet care Lariet isn’t mischievous. He isn’t pushy. He isn’t over-the-top. He’s steady. Smart. Respectful. What he truly wants is simple — to be with his person. He bonds deeply and thrives when he has someone to share life with, whether that’s chores around the property, weekend outings, or just being your quiet companion at the end of the day. He would make an incredible ranch dog, acreage companion, or active family dog who appreciates an intelligent, loyal partner. He enjoys having a purpose and being included, but he also settles nicely and carries himself with calm maturity. Lariet is that rare balance of capable working dog and devoted best friend. He’s confident without being demanding. Independent but deeply connected. Active yet level-headed. If you’re ready for a loyal, well-mannered, ranch-ready companion who will show up every single time you call — Lariet is ready to rope himself right into your heart. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this exceptional boy the forever home he truly deserves 💛🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌾🐾 Meet Emma — The Ranch Girl with the Golden Heart 🐾🌾 3 Years Old • ~70 lbs • Australian Shepherd / Border Collie Mix Emma is the total package — brains, beauty, work ethic, and a heart as big as Texas. At 3 years old and about 70 pounds, this ranch-raised girl comes with real-life experience under her belt. She grew up helping round up goats and cattle, and she takes her responsibilities seriously. If something needs organizing, supervising, or gently guiding in the right direction… Emma is already on it. Due to no fault of her own, she was surrendered to a shelter in a small town and has waited far too long, she’s now finally getting her chance at the life she truly deserves — one filled with love, purpose, and a soft place to land at the end of the day. Emma is incredibly sweet and beautifully mannered. She walks nicely on a leash, is attentive to her people, and genuinely wants to do the right thing. And great news — she is house trained! She’s proven she can handle indoor living just fine, balancing her working-dog roots with polite house manners. Even better? She’s good with other dogs, kids and yes, even cats. Yep — this seasoned herding girl knows how to coexist respectfully with her feline roommates too. That’s what we call versatility. Emma would thrive on a ranch, acreage, or in an active home that enjoys outdoor time. She’d happily: • Help with chores • Monitor the yard • Supervise kids • Inspect deliveries But she’s not all business. Once the “workday” is done, she’s more than happy to relax nearby, soaking up affection and enjoying being part of the family. She bonds deeply and loves having her people close. Emma would love: • Daily exercise and mental stimulation • A job, even if it’s just “Official Backyard Supervisor” • A family who values a smart, loyal companion • A home where she’s included and appreciated She’s steady. Devoted. Capable. And ready to trade her waiting days for forever ones. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, ranch-savvy best friend who can work hard, live politely indoors, respect the cats, and love you wholeheartedly — Emma is ready to clock in permanently. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this deserving girl the forever home she’s been waiting for 💛🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Pixel – the Sweetest Soul with the Coolest Eyes in Texas! Pixel is a 2-year-old, 42-lb Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a uniquely colored coat that makes her as beautiful outside as she is inside! She’s gentle, easygoing, and about as drama-free as they come. If dogs had a “Most Likely to Be Everyone’s Favorite” award, Pixel would win it paws down. This lovely girl gets along beautifully with just about everyone—people, dogs, kids, new situations—you name it. She’s calm, confident, and refreshingly mellow for an Aussie mix. Think less “whirling devilish herding machine” and more “professional couch companion with occasional zoomies.” And let’s talk about those eyes! Pixel has one stunning blue eye and one soulful brown eye. According to urban legend, that means she can see things in heaven and on earth at the same time. Pretty cool superpower, right? Basically, she’s part dog, part magical guardian angel. Pixel also comes fully loaded with excellent house manners: • Crate trained ✔ • Housebroken with a dog door ✔ • Walks beautifully on leash ✔ • Polite, well-behaved house guest ✔ • Expert at giving soft, grateful looks ✔ She enjoys relaxed strolls, cozy naps, and being near her people. She’s the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into your life like she’s always been there. Now, cats are a hard no, sorry cat lovers, she’s not a fan (she believes they are tiny, suspicious aliens), so a feline-free home is a must. But with dogs and humans? She’s an absolute dream. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, go-with-the-flow companion who will make every day brighter just by existing in it, Pixel is ready to be your girl. Apply today and let this two-toned-eyed sweetheart see straight into your heart 💙🤎🐾

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Maisey — the happiest little shadow you never knew you needed 💕 Maisey is an Australian Shepherd mix with a permanent smile and a heart big enough for every human, dog, and possibly the entire neighborhood. She greets life with full-body wiggles and believes strangers are simply friends she hasn’t leaned on yet. She absolutely adores other dogs and people, and while she’s still deciding what, exactly, a cat is, she’s keeping an open mind. Maisey has a playful streak and may occasionally “borrow” toys and bones, but she’s a gentle thief — if her foster brother files a complaint, she usually surrenders the goods without much protest. Walk time is a work in progress. When she spots a person or pup, Maisey rises onto her hind legs and performs a tiny ballerina dance of joy in an attempt to get closer immediately. She is currently studying the fine art of “walking politely” but enthusiasm keeps interrupting. Her manners are improving daily! She sometimes jumps up when excited or when she suspects someone else is receiving more attention than she is legally comfortable with. If attention levels drop below acceptable standards, Maisey will simply drape her entire body across you like a weighted blanket of love. Despite her joyful personality, Maisey is mostly a quiet girl. She’ll speak up briefly if she needs attention, then returns to her preferred communication style: leaning, snuggling, and loving you with her whole self. Maisey will need continued leash and manners training however she learns quickly with repeated corrections. *She’s great in the yard, no digging or escaping. In summary: ✔ Professional joy distributor ✔ Toy borrower with excellent conflict resolution skills ✔ Part-time ballerina, full-time love sponge ✔ Quiet companion with premium cuddle settings Maisey is ready to bring laughter, warmth, and a little extra Velcro-style affection to her forever home. 💕 Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Introducing Zeke, a truly remarkable pup whose heartwarming spirit and playful energy are ready to light up a new home. Zeke is a handsome, resilient boy who, through no fault of his own, found himself searching for a new home. He's more than ready to embark on his next chapter, seeking a loving, forever family to call his own. Zeke is a bundle of joyful energy, known for his silliness and ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. While he may start off shy, it doesn't take long for his true personality to shine through. He quickly becomes an enthusiastic playmate who thrives on the company of other dogs and will gleefully encourage them to play. Zeke is a smart and well-mannered companion. He is potty-trained and comfortable in his crate. He also knows basic commands like "sit" and "go to your room," and his eagerness to please makes him a joy to train further. While he’s working on managing his excitement (which sometimes results in enthusiastic leaps!), his good intentions are always clear. Walks are a highlight of his day, offering him a chance to explore and burn off some of that youthful energy. His barks will let you know precisely when he needs to go outside or when he hears you approaching the door. If you’re seeking an active, affectionate, and charming dog who promises boundless love and entertainment, Zeke could be the perfect addition to your home. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Almond Joy, mmmm. A little nutty, a lotta sweet. I am made of love, sunshine and SUGAR!! Here is what my foster has to say: "Almond Joy came in as a mama with one pup. She just really wants a soft place to land. If that is your home, she is ALL IN! Almond Joy does not have to have another dog but she really would LOVE to have a gentle, playful friend." Hi, my name is Olive. I’m the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. I love hugs. Like, put my arms around your neck and HUG you. I am super smart and have already learned to potty outside, sit, “kennel up” and much more. My foster mom has 2 kids, another dog and a cat. I’m so good with all of them although I don’t understand why the cat doesn’t want hugs. I’m trying hard to win her over though. Treats and naps are my favorite thing in the whole world. I started off life with my foster mom very skinny and I’m doing my best to fatten up a bit. I’m so excited to find my forever home. I’ll be your best friend! Local Only adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Nova is a sweetheart. I got him as a tiny puppy. Unfortunately he came to us with resource guarding issues, primarily with food and space (especially when he is laying down). He still struggles with these issues, just not quite as bad. After my eldest dog (the alpha) passed away, my middle dog fell into a bad deep depression. During this time, Nova began to attack my middle dog. This was a surprise as they used to play and cuddle 24/7. I was told this just happens sometimes when a younger dog will attack a sick older dog to "claim alpha". He has never bitten another dog, although we were very careful to not get him too close to other dogs. I would say no other dogs would be the best for him. We have never had him around any other animals. Hes great with people and older kids. He is a bit uneasy with young kids. We have a young child and I am just very nervous due to his history and he just isnt getting the life he deserves anymore. He is a cuddle bug lover. He deserves the BEST home!

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Joker 🐾 Don’t let the name fool you — Joker is all heart. This 10-week-old Border Collie × Australian Cattle Dog mix is a gentle, sensitive little guy with a soft, soulful personality. He’s much more “thoughtful collie” than “rowdy heeler,” preferring connection and cuddles over chaos. Joker can be a tiny bit shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his sweet nature really shines. He warms up quickly and becomes your quiet little shadow, happily following you around and soaking up every bit of affection. He’s the kind of puppy who looks at you like you’re his whole world. He’s smart, observant, and eager to learn — classic border collie brain — and would thrive in a calm, loving home that helps him build confidence and gives him lots of reassurance and snuggles. He enjoys playtime and exploring, but his overall energy is gentle and easygoing. We expect him to be around 35 lbs full grown, making him the perfect size for both adventures and couch time. If you’re looking for a loyal, tender-hearted best friend who will bond deeply and stick by your side, Joker is ready to be your little sidekick. 🤍 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this deserving girl the forever home she’s been waiting for 💛🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💕🐾 Meet Your New Favorite Little Lady — Sweet, Social & Slightly Silly 🐾💕 4 Months Old • 15 lbs • Female • Professional Treat Taker At just 4 months old and 15 pounds, this darling girl is the perfect pocket-sized blend of sweetness and puppy charm. While she may have some Border Collie in her background, she skipped the “caffeinated squirrel” setting and went straight for the gentle, laid-back option. Think more “thoughtful observer” than “chaos coordinator.” 😉 She is super loving, wonderfully gentle, and already knows how to take treats politely — which in puppy terms is basically earning an honorary PhD. She’s smart, attentive, and very people-focused without being over-the-top hyper. When fully grown she should be a fantastic medium size to enjoy all your adventures but still save a spot for you on the couch!! Lately, she and her sibling, Sierra, have been getting lots of social time in the garage and big backyard, and it’s doing wonders for her confidence. She’s blossoming into a happy, social little butterfly who enjoys interaction and is figuring out that the world is actually a pretty fun place. Now let’s be clear — she is still a puppy. Which means: • Random zoomies activated without warning • Toy redistribution programs throughout your house • Occasional “what is this and can I chew it?” investigations • Daily moments that will absolutely make you laugh out loud Puppy shenanigans? Yes. Daily entertainment? Also yes. She would make a fantastic family pet thanks to her sweet, gentle nature. She’s loving without being wild, playful without being pushy, and cuddly without needing to run a marathon first. Her dream home includes: • A family ready for normal puppy antics • Love, structure, and patience • Maybe a backyard for zoomie practice • People who appreciate a good daily LOL moment She’s the kind of pup who will grow into a loyal, steady companion — but right now she’s mastering the fine art of being adorable while learning the ropes. If you’re ready for a gentle, loving, slightly goofy little sidekick who will fill your home with giggles and tail wags, she’s ready to report for duty. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — because life is better with a little puppy chaos and a whole lot of love. 🐾💗
