Meet Jax! This stunning 25-pound Decker Terrier found his way to Sunny Sky’s after his owner could no longer care for him due to health issues. While leaving his family was a big change, Jax is ready to find a new home where he can feel loved, secure, and part of the family.
Jax is a wonderful boy who enjoys being around people and is great with kids. He also does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a friendly, loyal, and affectionate pup.
Decker Terriers are athletic, intelligent, and loyal dogs that combine the hunting instincts of Rat Terriers with a calmer, family-friendly temperament. They can be versatile companions for both work and family life and thrive in active households where they receive regular exercise and plenty of mental stimulation. A home with a yard would be ideal for Jax so he has space to stretch his legs, explore, and enjoy the activities he loves.
Jax is hoping his next family will be his forever family. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for?

Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess.
