Say Hello to Zuko.A five-year-old mini-Aussie with a heart that opens fast and wide … one of those dogs who will let you know you’re his new favorite person in about two seconds flat.Zuko wants to ride shotgun.Help you carry groceries.Keep you company while you make dinner.Trail you into the garden to help with the weeding. And at night, find the exact right cuddle in and settle spot. He’s wildly gregarious, and his joy takes off the second he sees people.Because he’s an Aussie, albeit mini, there’s a whole second layer under the charm … bright intelligence, deep attentiveness, quiet problem-solving.But the real magic is his companionship. He is a ride-or-die BFF kind of dog.Zuko has lived successfully with other dogs, but we suspect he would be happiest as the adored center of attention. If you are looking for a new best friend with four legs and an enthusiasm for being part of your life, Zuko would love to meet you.A Haiku for ZukoSun moves through tall grassBeautiful dog beside youThe long day softensTHE FIRST STEP IN OUR ADOPTION PROCESS IS TO FILL OUT OUR FORM AT WWW.HAVENRESCUE.ORG/DOGAPPLICATION

Story
We fostered Franny Feb 2024 in Dallas. She is the sweetest, cuddliest, kindest dog. She was diagnosed with atypical Addisons disease Spring 2024 & takes a daily steroid to manage all symptoms. We weren't able to locate an adopter and needed to relocate to Seattle Fall 2024 so we brought her with us. Franny loves Seattle, going for walks and being around her people. We have 2 other rescues dogs she gets along with just fine. Never tested for cats. We had a baby Fall 2025 and Franny is wonderful around the kiddo, but the stress and changes in our house flared her Addisons symptoms (triggered by stress or eating something unusual). As much as we love her, I don't think we are the right home for her in this season of our lives because we can't provide the environment in which she would thrive best. Franny would do AMAZING in a home where her people are around most of the time (WFH or retired). We are willing to continue to support Franny as needed & be in communication with new family.

Story
Welcome Porsche to CCPAL Rescue. Porsche is an Aussie mix is our best guess. She looks like he is mixed with something small. She is about 8 pounds now and should be medium sized full grown. We think 25-30 full grown. She is very sweet, has good eye contact and has a soft coat and down ears. Her coat is really soft. She is active and the group is vocal but not over the top. A person that does not work all day every day for 5 days a week is the best for a puppy. Someone that can work from home some or has partial days or some days off to spend to help your new puppy acclimate is best. You need time to be with your puppy to socialize them and to finish off their puppy training. Porsche was very easy to handle taking his photos and she wasn’t afraid of new people and liked being held. She sat on the table with confidence while we worked with her. She is getting daily attention and holding at the Rescue. She is getting his DHPP vaccinations and dewormed. She is good in her play group. She is kenneled in the evening and is learning to go potty on a wee pad. She is currently at the CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
