Meet our sweet little Gizmo. He is a 6 pound, 5 year old Toy Terrier mix. This boy has had a horrible life in the home of hoarders. Due to malnutrition and severe dehydration, he could barely walk and would fall over. The clinic he went to could not guarantee that he could be saved. Once he pulled through and began to thrive, he was neutered as he had a swollen prostate. He also has a severe overbite that caused difficulty drinking, the vet removed a few rotten teeth. Gizzy is very nervous when meeting new folks and will offer anxious barking, but is quick to love when he feels safe. This boy will not do well in a home where he is left alone for long hours, nor will he do well will small children. Gizmo is heartworm negative and current on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $200. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants

Peterman came to us from a Dothan, Alabama Animal Services. He is extremely shy and fearful of people, but he loves playing with all of the dogs at our rescue. He will need a sensitive, patient person who will teach him how to trust and work on making him more confident. Due to his shy nature, Pete will not be comfortable in a home with very young children. Isla was found on a busy street infested with fleas and emaciated. She has been given quality foods, baths, and has been seen by a veterinary for rabies, spay, vaccinations, and heartworm test which was negative. She's a lower energy Chi that would prefer to be on her foster mom's lap all day. She's been fine with the 15 other dogs at the rescue, but we are unaware of her compatability with cats or young kids. Isla's adoption fee is $250. Story
My dog, Brutus, is a Chihuahua Mix rescue dog I adopted about 2 1/2 years ago from the Humane Society of Pasco. Brutus needs to be in a household where he is the only pet. He is totally house trained. When I have to leave him for 6 hours he doesn't damage anything. He is well behaved and as he gets older he is calmer and has become a couch potato. He likes to play fetch with a small squeaky toy. He is in good health and is up to date with all his shots and is on a flea/heartworm preventative.
