Meet Gizmo 🐾 Gizmo is a handsome 1-year-old boy that weighs in at 18 pounds. Gizmo is VERY high energy and will need an active family and, ideally, a sturdy playmate! 🐶 He is very good with other dogs, but he is still very much a puppy and needs to learn to respect "personal space" 🫣. His favorite hobbies are running in the yard and keeping a collection of chewies. 🦴 He very much loves to be around his people, but takes a long moment to settle into new situations. Small children seem to be a lot for him, so a family with older children would be best. Kima – from surviving to thriving 💛 Kima’s story didn’t start easy. She came to us from a hoarding confiscation case through the county shelter. Born and raised in a chicken wire pen outdoors with more than 20 other dogs, she had never lived inside a home… never worn a collar or leash… and had very little hands-on human interaction. When she first arrived, she was understandably terrified. The sounds, the space, the routine of indoor life — everything was brand new to her. It took time, patience, and a lot of gentle reassurance for Kima to decompress and learn what it means to be a loved household member. And oh, how she has blossomed. 🌸 Today, Kima attends events and does beautifully with everyone she meets. She may be shy at first, but give her a little moment and she warms up quickly, revealing the sweetest, slightly goofy little personality. Once she trusts you, she absolutely adores being part of the action. At just 8 pounds and 5 years old, Kima is a tiny girl with a tender heart. She will need a secure home — if she were to slip out, she can still be a bit flighty. Because of her past, safety and structure are very important for her continued confidence. She would be okay as an only dog, but she would truly love a friendly small dog or even a playful cat companion to help her feel secure and have fun. Kima is proof that patience changes lives. She doesn’t need perfection — she just needs someone willing to continue showing her that the world is safe and love is forever.

Sure, Foxy is a girl's name, but this senior guy doesn't care. He arrived to our rescue with the name. Foxy is a 13 year old, 8 pound Pomeranian mix. He has cataracts which make him nearly blind. This fella is fine with all the other dogs at the rescue, but we're certain he'd enjoy a calmer, quieter home. Foxy has been neutered, vaccinated, and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $50.
